dave is a super nice guy, the sport of snowmobiling is lucky to have such a down to earth guy!!

He sure seems to be and good for him to have a job he loves. "I think"
He is paid to do a good job at supporting the BRP product which I think he try's to do the best he can.
It's a job for him and he is paid to do that so be it.
It's advertising plan and simple?
Don't knock him for doing his JOB!!!!

The t3 174 will put the highest mark on the hill of any stock sled. It has excellent HP and the most traction. It's not really for my style of riding but this is an undisputable fact.

WOW, you certainly can tell who wear's blinder's and will read between the lines on my post assuming my thought's. Point well taken, thank you. But you missed the target.
Point was, and i'm sure many other's would like to know if he get's paid to promo Doo and it's product's or is he freelancing because he like's the product.
I certainly would like to hear from norona on this. I suspect he does and from what some say on here, it sound's like he does.
If he does then i understand his bias opinion's as you cannot cut off the hand that feed's you.

I for one would like to see a freelance rider with non attachment to any brands giving honest non bias ride report's, putting all the hoopla BS aside, which is alway's attached to a salesmen.

Don't you love it when the pot is stir, some subject's are getting stale around here.

Dude he rides for SkiDoo, what part don't you understand? There is thousands of non payed riders on this site, you can get reviews off of Im sure.
If you can't figure out what sled you like best on your own.

That's hilarious. Because as soon as they say the T3 174 is the best one of them all they would be biased assholes again LOLOL.

The answer your looking for is the same as what everyone else wants to hear "I love them all equally each has its strong and its weak points you can't go wrong with any of them" meanwhile there is the truth and fact that the t3 performs better in deep snow (mountains) than any of them. But hey if you've got that figured out your biased apparently

Lets get the record straight for Lund. Dave Norona is a paid BRP rider, thus the SkiDoo intro's to most of his vid's. His job is defined as a backcountry ambassador. He can be seen at BRP events such as this and previous years dealer meetings talking to dealers and bringing us info on new BRP products via vid's. Other riders include Stephanie Schwartz, Ashley Chaffin, Carl Kuster, Jay Mentaberry, Rob Alford, Calvin Felker and of course Brett Rasmussen. He also has his own personal sponsors that help him get down the road and with gear like the Vancouver based dealer you sometimes see in his vid's. He will not be doing any product reviews on competitor 's product at the time he is in employment with BRP. Now back to our original programming please....

He can party pretty hard too just sayin
Yes he has a lot of fun. Had the old conga line going at the BRP after party in Vegas at the dealer meeting. Did a great job of MC'ing the awards night as well.

Jorli Ricker did a nice review on the 2015 M8000. He stated the areas the sled fell short of Doo and Poo, and also stated the areas where Cat came out on top. In HIS opinion. (Maxwell and Trent will obviously disagree) Just sayin...

If 43 dollar oil holds might hold out for a cheap 2015 T3, seen a few in the 12k range already.

Unfortunately you probably never will get what you refer to as an "unbiased" opinion, simply due to personal opinion and riding styles. Example: I've put miles on most of the new sleds, figured out what I like and don't about each one, but what makes it the best for "me", doesn't mean that someone else carries those same values. I'm primarily a technical rider, I don't really like to just go to an area and wander through the trees at 2 mph though, and I still need a sled that can build serious track speed on demand, since my riding style and areas typically require at least 1-2 fairly good climbs to access them.

For me, I care less about how well clutched/geared a stock sled is right out of the box, or how soft/hard the suspension is, because I understand they are set in the middle of the bell curve to compensate for as much of joe average as possible, so I'm going to tune it to my liking, and not really concerned with all the bells and whistles either because I can buy the select ones aftermarket if I want. Example: I'm picky enough that I have 3 secondarys for my sled, each with a different set up in it. Nowadays, the sleds are honestly pretty close and with a little seat time, most people can get pretty good on any of the brands. To me, going 60 kms back in the hills like sledders do, I want a sled that will a) start (reliability) every time, b) is easy to work on and has lots of aftermarket parts, and c) has good local dealer support. This is just me. Lots of other guys value the stock setup and whichever one comes best right out of the box with the first cord pull, dealer support is not even on the list etc etc.

In the end though, without some kind of "support" we'll call it, its very tough to be an "independent" reviewer in this industry (mainly because its a seasonal hobby honestly) and so trying to get paid for your weekend passion without some kind of brand affiliation, is extremely tough.

Last yr on ride with Rene he pulled a crazy line up and over on a SP 163. Last week I saw vid footage of him dooing a pull and loop at the top of some steep terrain on a stock 154 T3. Next yr the 154 T3 will be a big seller. Call Rene or Geoff if your looking to snow check a new Doo. Their hook up at Courtney Motor Sports is the best in srvice I have ever experienced. Cheers
