I have climbed Monster numerous times and it is different every time. Sometimes it's pretty simple and sometimes you need to bring your A game. In. Mid season is when it starts to get wind drifted up pretty good and the cornice at the top gets bigger so you are forced to make more turns.
I climbed it a couple times by driving down it first then coming back up.
Momentum and traction can be bought, control can't be.Oh man!! Most memorable moment on the hill ever for me!!! I was imagining the kind of balls it would take to climb the Monster and then watched NM drop down it WTF???? Now that I know the Boost crew, I know that it's just another way to get a thrill and a laugh LOL.
As far as getting out of a big climb, it's all about momentum, traction, and control. If you have enough of each then you can do it. Now all you need are the balls!!!!
every time I get on a sled it's outstanding. powder, hardpack, water, or grass....I shred it all. you never did respond to the question of what sled you rode before your 146" doo....it was a wedge, wasn't it?
