This is apparently a secret valve, was put on a Aerocharger airbox, was told they do this to the new turboes . Can someone explain to me how it works and what it does . Never seen one like this and would like too find out what it’s purpose is? Thx in advance .

Me and my brother were talking about doing that in 2015 but thought it would leak to much air pressure. We were thinking of using reeds. But never got around to it.

I doubt I will use it, mine runs great, just picked up a complete kit and likely use it for parts, turbo only has 2000 k on it so nice to have sitting on a shelf.

Buddy just built a airbox with a reed valve in it. Made it so there’s a plate that he can block the reed off super easy/ quick.

It’s like a butterfly valve, seals pretty good and has a decent spring in it.
