The 1200 turbo's do work really well. The biggest issue we have seen with them is that on a long WOT pull the intercooler will become heat soaked and pressure drop causing extreme richness.
We have 2 customers that had LC pistons, rods, porting, etc. and they will barely run after 10-15 sec WOT and the intercoolers are almost to hot to touch. The turbo's are really small for a motor that needs to move that much air.
TSS is now using a water to air intercooler and a big Garrett turbo running only 12 lbs boost and the MCX 1200's are not even close.
A good cold air intake will make some difference, but the intercooler and turbo size are very limiting especially in deeper snow where the motor is under much more load.
100% agreed NM. Which is exactly why the intake is poked out the hood and the intercooler is exposed to air. I believe we need to stand the intercooler in a more vert position, none the less much better than it ever was. Cheers
