So finally got around to do one last comparison between our 2 sleds. Weighed our sleds full of fluids except gas. The m1000 came in at 499 lbs and the pro weighed 484 with about 1" of fuel in the tank. So they are within +/- 20 lbs of each other. I am super excited about getting my sled so close in weight. I have a couple more mods I want to do this summer. Planning on getting the 36" a arms and building a set of shorter air frames. Was a really great season wasn't sure how close are sleds would be but they are so close it makes it very exciting. Will be riding the ol m another season as it is really ripping.

Yes we definitely keep each other striving to squeeze a little more out of our machines, some mods give us good gains and others are a waste of money but we generally move ahead in most cases. I have a short list of some small mods to the pro for next year hoping to improve it more. I think there is more in the clutching and a head change as well to maybe help in the cooling department and also give a better burn in the cylinder. If there is a intercooler for next year I may try it just so I can talk about the differences to you guys, I don't do big pulls so it may be a waste of money, we will see. I ran the pro at 9 pds for the last 2 trips and I can't go back and since av gas is the same price of premium, why not? We will post another video next year to show the results of our mods, I think it is gonna be a different outcome ha ha.

Ya Paul we kinda saw what 11# was like........
Ummm ya, your pro was a little fast that day! I don't see any need for you guys to turn up the boost anymore the days I ride with you!

Oh and Chris, how was Paul's reaction when you told him you were running the new tune? You did tell him right? He was telling me he couldn't believe how much faster your sled was..... I was just killing myself!!😃

Have a good start on my air frames. I wanted to build boards that didn't need to be welded. These will rivet together. The bars are 1/2 stainless pipe which is very light but very strong.

Installed a Alt impact 36" front end with xm shocks, narrowed up the old M a lot ! Spindles are now flush with the body panels. Also have a Pro motion coming for the rear skid. Will be hard to keep up with Paul's sled this year. He's running straight av, different clutching and improved his rear skid with a exit shock to keep his front end down. He has some top secret mod he his trying also but won't spill the beans yet. This old M should have good fight against the T3 this year at least.

Nice sled! I like the m1000! You wouldn't be interested in a set of jaws twins and a boondocker box for it would you?

Already run a boondocker box. Heard the jaws twins are awesome but I have my Slp single set up tuned perfect.

If ain't broke don't fix it. Yah you would need to start all over with clutching and tuning.

I took the seat apart and the plastic frame I cut 12" out and overlapped and riveted the two ends together. Cut the foam and shaped it. I then got a upholstery shop to glue the foam together and sew the original cover on. It ways 8 lbs,( stock seat is 18 lbs ) and still has pretty decent storage. I like that it is very easy to swing my legs around and nice and low.
