Expect these to fail, sooner or later unless you do the relocate on your 800 or 600 Axys Pro RMK. When they do fail your sled will run like crap and throw codes because the exhaust valves will not function.
Dealer wants $30 each.
I have 2 new ones available for sale, $35 for the pair.

There are two that are located on the cross member right in front of the motor. When riding in powder or trailering untarped in wet conditions water will run down the wires through the connectors right into the relays. Once the relays go your exhaust valves will not function. There is another relay in the velcro bag above your clutch cover that is also susceptible. It is the load shed really and you will lose gauges and oil pump. Until you remedy the locations and even after it is highly recommended to carry a couple spare relays as insurance to ensure a safe return from the backcountry.

Small amount of electrical contact grease and some electrical tape and you won't have any issues with the 2 relays

just paint them with liquid electrical tape and good to go and easy to remove

Oh ya, bottom side of the connector to relay, the wires and pins to relay are wide open also

They need sealed connectors to relays, which include the feed and supply wires to relays

I know what they look like i have repaired mine with weather pack but the average guy that doesn't have access can use some greese and tape to keep water out

anyone Have a part # for a sealed alternative to the factory relay? Die electric grease and relocating them is just a temp fix, Polaris wants 30 bux for a relay ��

On my most recent trip, 5 days of riding, -12C every day with good powder, sleds never got to thaw out between the rides. On the last day when I started the sled I had no gauge power. I let it warm up for a few minutes and gauge magically turned on. Same thing happened when I went to unload after trailing home. I was thinking relays, bought spares, but not sure which one to replace.

So it is the one in the bag by clutch?

Thanks for the relay Poleman. I checked mine after talking with you & 1 was nice & clean, 2nd was all green & corroded. Cleaned & moved now.

Its the two right in the front of the sled, under the hood. I am at work or I would post a photo. Pop the hood off and you can't miss them. As far as which side does what, I am not sure.

I keep a relay in my avy pack at all times and pack them with electrical contact greese from the back side to prevent corrosion

move them so they are pointed upwards and grease the backside of them. I also tape up the clutch side headlight and the vent under the headlight to stop water from dripping on them all day long.

Hey adamg, My gauge doesn't come on right away sometimes either but only when its below -25 i was thinkin the LCD needed to warm up a bit first? Its only happened a few times but 2 morning in a row when it was -30 up north.

Naw man, even cold the gauge itself will turn on. It will just be slow to change numbers. The only thing that can keep it off until the sled warms up a bit is the relay being frozen.

Well ok i'll have to check the relays out forsure. Thx. I just chalked it up to the cold temps because i run a grader and trackhoe with LCD gauge screens and they dont come on right away either when its close to the -30 mark..

Is there anyone out there with a couple of these relays for sale or know where to get? Would like to carry them with me for spares triied a couple local parts stores with no luck. See them down in the states for $2-3 each..

been thru this with my axys
NAPA AR606
cross reference it...
pulled up specs on it
15.00 each
use dielectric grease and electrical tape to seal the connection
pic is of new relays and taped to new location

I found some cheaper spares they’re made by Panasonic got them thru digikey.ca. Part number is CM1-R—12V same as the stock one. The Panasonic CM1A-R-12V is the same as the Napa one. For 3 relays shipped fed-ex overnight for $29 Screw Polaris and there $30 a relay!!
