From talking with people, the best beaches are in Cuba, but the food will not be anything to write home about. We were supposed to go there last year, it didn't line up with financials.Wife and daughter really liked Cuba
All these resorts, just stay home and get drunk at a Taco Bell.
Argentina is getting a ways down there. Will do peru north to Columbia one year. Been really liking Thailand Vietnam area. No resorts though.
Resort in Cuba is good. But the country is very dirty and stinky when you get off the resorts. Extreme poverty. From talking with people, the best beaches are in Cuba, but the food will not be anything to write home about. We were supposed to go there last year, it didn't line up with financials.
XEL-Ha is a great day. Another good tip is find out where you want to go and book yourself a small private driver(cab) rather than a bus tour from the hotel. You could end up spending 2 1/2 hours each way on the bus picking up and dropping off people for your excursion from a dozen or more other hotelsI highly recommend a day at Xel-ha. It's a busy tourist trap but still a beautiful place.
So pretty much like Mexico or any central america country.Resort in Cuba is good. But the country is very dirty and stinky when you get off the resorts. Extreme poverty.
Havana was super cool. I can still taste the diesel soot in the air. lol Just for me. I guess I wouldn’t go back.So pretty much like Mexico or any central america country.
They really enjoyed Havana, wife keeps asking to go back and we've been to Mexico a half dozen times.

Did it a few years back. Was a really good way to spend the day. We never had to wait in any lines, spent the whole day there and only did 1 pay activity with our entire group. Even though it's structured it's a good way to get out of the resort especially if your the type that isn't overly comfortable being outside the locked gatesI highly recommend a day at Xel-ha. That's the kind of holiday I want. This is a resort…all inclusive! meaning no one’s around.
Wilson's not a bad guy, doesn't complain, always agrees
