Several back when i was a young kid, Gary Unger used to date a close member of the family, so while the Oilers were on route to their dynasty in the 80's i was allowed into all the closed media practices that my uncle would take me too.... Nothing like sitting in Northlands behind the bench with no more then 10 others in the seating area, I expanded my horizons one day and handed Kurri a new stick form the bench, he grabbed it used it for 5 min then came back and gave it to me, while the team left the ice that day moose came and asked me if id like a tour of the dressing room..... Now that was awesome as a kid, not only did i walk out with a kurri stick, Fuhr gave me his as well, and the whole team right from Andy Moog, to Glen Sather himself signed them both........was a great experience......3 months later they went on to their first cup win over the New York Islanders... and the rest is history

Hmm... Watched Cory Micku (and the other Micku boys) grow up. Sledded with them more than once this season. Probably a bit famous in this crowd...

More famously, my wife and I met and chatted with Buffalo Joe McBryan and Mikey McBryan from Ice Pilots last summer. Joe has stories to tell!

I've met / shared a few words with a fair number of people who are at least "known".
Meeting famous people isn't really to wild. I think the famous people are abit taken aback when a person doesnt make a big deal about them.
