McBRIDE AST1 COURSE FEB 3&4/2012

i'm just wondering who sets the price of these courses? whats included for the person to take home to see the value in it? i've taken other safety courses, some are 3 day courses others are 2 and they all have been half of what these courses are....

Hi there, For a full snowmobile AST 1 course the price is on par with most other snowmobile AST 1 providers. You will find AST 1 courses for skiers are usually cheaper. No machine required and typically done by locals or ski hills, so much less travel and expenses. The course follows the AST 1 curriculum set by the Canadian Avalanche Association. 1 day in class and 1 day out in the mountains. Some providers do spread out the class session over 2 evenings instead of one day or one long evening.
