I bought an mbrp can for my 2009 m8. I have an slp y pipe and pipe, just switching out the can for better sound but it seems to not fit up with the mbrp can very good. There is a lot of gap on the back side causing an exhaust leak.Is the can and the pipe incompatable or did I get a crookedly welded up can?Is anyone running the same setup or will I have to switch back to the factory pipe if I want to run that mbrp can?

I would think it should fit as good as a stock pipe would into that can. I run my D&D can with my SLP pipe and it fits perfect.

I run the same setup on my 07 M1000, no issues I know the M1000 MBRP can fit on the 2010 M8 stock pipe.

You have to cut the lower mounts on the can and reweld them into position..(we have done 4 of them)..Otherwise the pipe presses against the hood...The slp pipe has a different outlet angle than the stock pipe!!
