As Momma says, "it is nice to be minutes away." I only have 35,000 on my '13 and being 10 minutes from the staging area contributes a lot to that. Even the 40 minute drive to Fernie is getting a little long. But there is a nice Dark Roast Timmies available once we get to Fernie for the short trip to the staging area. One always has to look at the bright side....:d
I didn't know there weren't any decent coffee shops in Fernie Doug?

I so admire everyone who makes the trip from Alberta and Saskatchewan to ride. I only spent a short time in AB and traveled once to ride in Golden.. holy crap it was stressful packing, trying to remember everything, exhausting driving and then there was the whole separation anxiety from missing my kids, husband and wolf. I will never ever again take for granted being able to ride from my home. Never again will I complain when we "travel" to ride 45 min from the house.
You guys are awesome and dedicated. Hats off to you! You rock.

I'll just stick to riding from my door. Admiration is way too labor intensive for me. :yahoo:

Weekend warriors is right. Battling the weather. Bad drivers. Poor sleep cause of work and sledding. But it's worth the effort to sledders. Cool article Maxwell.

I did 23 trips to revy from Edmonton last season. 5200 km in the mountains. And Almost 2000 ditch banging. My elbows are still sore. Lol. I'm now in Acupuncture 3 days a week to get back in sledding shape

You guys suck! I got to drive 5 1/2-6hrs min to go sledding in the mountains. My 09 truck has over 220000km on it and most of that is from sledding.

You pack a door with you..... i just leave the door on the house. but hey whom am i to judge.

It sure is nice isn't it! The other part that is really nice, is that I can ride any day of the week I want to right from my door! Sorry, that's bragging just a little............:noidea:

Holy sheeeet!! Is that 20-30 days mountain riding or trips =ing 60-90 days riding. Either way that is a good year. From the sleds ur selling it looks like you put on just over 2k a year. I take it you ride Allen allot saving the clicks rolling up on the trail. I rode Renshaw almost every trip last year and wow does that 54km a day trail ever show up on the tripmeter!!! Never the less, worth the extra km in my mind, love that area.
ya 20-30 depending on how good the snow is! last couple novembers have been a bust :(
