I have a 2005 3/4 ton Duramax. I'm looking at 20" rims. Not sure how big of tires I can go without any rubbing issues. Anyone have any Expieriance? Not looking to lift the truck.

Nothing much for 20 rims
You will have to at least crank torsion bars up and do air bags in rear ... Then can fit 305 but may still rub front a bit

It will depend on the back spacing of the wheels. I think a 32 inch tall tire and max 11 inchs wide with stock wheels . The further out the wheel is the smaller the the tires.

Really? 275x60r20s are stock on 1500 dodges. 33x11r20s they should fit? Or 285x60r20 duratracs? 33.5x11.5r20s?

Wrong for GM.. the wheel wells are high but you need an excessive lift to fit anything close to what a dodge or ford can do with just a leveling kit

best size on a stock dmax no lift would be a 275/55/20 that is a 31.9x11.2 ran them on my dmax and they worked well no rub issues. you maybe able to get away with a 285/50R20 that is 31.26x11.69. The issues with the chevy's are the width because of the square wheel wells.

That 275x55r20 32x11r20 is stock on the denalis 1500s so would have to fit on the duramax if you want to see what it looks like.

Also consider what kind of mud flaps you have. I run 265/75/16 on my 2005 which are 31.5" high (I think) with cloud rider mud flaps that are about a 1/4" thick. The drivers side front always rubs when you are turning.

I have the stock 20" wheel and tire package on my Duramax and the tire is 32" tall. Looking at it you could fit a 33" tire providing you don't go much wider.
