If ya go turbo, go Z1 pace car. 270 plus....
Dickin around for 11hp is kinda a joke.....
People will trade up though and take a 10k hit though,

im not gonna argue with you.

but the Maverick is cheaper then the RZR 1000...

Im not positive its better... Anybody that says polaris makes a crappy side by side is lying.. They own majority market share for a reason. But when they came out with that 1000... Maverick was second best.... Obviosly.. And took all the comments! People always have negative things to say about other brands thats the way it is...

As far as not being worth it for only 11 more horsepower.... lol... Anybody remeber when polaris came out with the 1000 and it had like 6 more horsepower... and everyone was like... OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! SO LONG CAN AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But now they make it ten horse and the ploaris guys are like.......................... meh.

Remember not everyone likes mud. This thing will be fun in the dunes and trails. Don't think more hp in the mud is a bad thing but not for everyone

i wonder if guys will be able to crank out bigger numbers with something simple like a more aggressive tune.

people do it with turbo cars all the time, and i believe people do it with the arctic cat factory turbo snowmobiles.

add an exhaust and you will see bigger gains over a N/A as well

The fact is if you ride sxs here on trails in most of Alberta , there is gonna be mud. Does not matter if you like it or not, that is a fact.........on about 80% of our trails. It is too much of a pain to take the chicken trails through the bush ,so you are gonna go down the middle in the mud. ON MOST TRAILS.
A turbo and mud do not mix well.....Also its not JUST the MUD just, splash through a puddle ride two miles of DUST and your rad is plugged..........
Unless you run a CAT with the rad in the back............My point is even if your not a MUD rider ,this will still be an issue.........

And dunes, LOL what dunes here in Alberta......(Please dont say Brule)..........

I am sure they will, as you can see its a SAFE turbo with only a 20 HP crank gain over stock...........

It's probably no different than how diesel trucks have been over the year...add a few more hp every year to bring people through the door. Likely lots of potential with adding more boost since they went the route with a top end built for boost.

Only 20 more HP but what I would be more excited about is what the torque increase will be with forced induction, personally i think that increase will far outweigh the increased HP numbers. Would love to give one a go for a day!

they say a 40% increase so should be pretty impressive in the TQ department

If it's anything like most turbocharged OEM vehicles besides diesels it will have a tiny tiny turbo because everyone is so afraid of big bad turbo lag. Nice for quick torque but not much more top end power to be made because of turbine restriction and a small compressor side that turns into a heat gun outside it's efficiency range.
