LMAO must be a can am. Are yours toast already? Every can am quad is due for a set at 300 kms that I know of. Haven't heard of anyone going past that. Martin asked me if I wanted them replaced when it was in for its first service. I asked if covered under warranty because they wore so quick. Nope, I must have been riding the brake they said lol. Why would I want to put factory brakes back in if they are junk? Anyways def go aftermarket. Rapid usually has them in stock.

Sorry but if they only last twice as long I don't want them neither. I went with EBC pads. Have put 2000kms on them and they are about 40% now. I think they were about 30 bucks a set.

Does rapid have the EBC pads? I have 600K on my xmr and the second set of pads are 50% gone. I barely use the brakes with having engine braking and the factory pads still only last one summer.

I have 500 km on Maverick and was wondering what people have been using and how long they last.
I have not checked them yet.

Ebc on my rzr lasted 300 km at the most.
1 weekend and I needed new pads
I tried a few sets and still the same result.

lol u guys must really hammer on ur brakes when I sold my maverick I had 2200kms on original pads and they were about 30% left!

Martin sells EBC. Just gotta ask for them. Can Am has changed their material tho. I have 500km on my XMR Outlander and the pads still look like brand new.

My brakes make the most horrific noises but are wearing fine and I'm at almost 2000 kms. Engine braking is great on the slower technical trails and is usually sufficient when out riding with the family so I'm only really using them a lot when I'm riding solo and really pushing my machine. Not sure what causes the loud squealing but it makes me not want to even use the brakes lol. Do you guys experience this on your Mavs? I know it's very common on the manders.

Yes the engine braking is great.
My Polaris never had that.
I have not heard any squealing noise yet from them.
Wednesday I will pull a wheel and check them.

Shheesh, I checked mine for the first time after about 800k and they were waaaay past metal on metal by that point. ...even had to change out the rear caliper.
EBC all the way for this guy. I buy them from Rapid Revolutions all my machines - they're cheeper than the factory ones and last roughly twice as long for me. Even at twice as long, I'm still not getting any more than 1000k per set which is still not that great. That said, I do like mud and can be a little heavy on the throttle at times.

That's good to hear you don't have the same squeeling brakes. Mine have been this way pretty much since new. Heading out to Birchwood(near Drayton Valley) for a couple weeks on Weds and should get some good riding in but will also use the time to check over some things as I'm at almost 2000 kms and besides the recommended maintenance haven't looked over everything else closely yet. Ideally I'd get a lot more riding in and head down to Brazeau area but a new baby is going to limit things this year.
