So I lost a battle with a pine tree. End of the day the reservoir broke off the master cylinder. I know skidoo has a number for a replacement but is there any other options? Does someone make a billet aluminum one, mayby something off a dirt bike, quad street bike? Any ideas would be appreciated.

i see wilwood make a complete assembly for $80, have no idea where to buy it

Tore mine off middle of the season as well... 1 little phillips screw and friction fit with an o-ring isn't much to speak of... Mine was pretty innocent but same deal, got wee bit close to a smaller tree, rode through it and little tree hit the bars slightly, coming out the other side noticed it was gone.... didn't ruin my day though :p

Didn't think to salvage the cap / screws and rubber suction cap (never looked for it in the snow) as the whole reservoir assembly is $70.00 from BRP, never researched alternatives.

I see wilwood make a master cylinder brake assembly that could be used, but I have no idea where to buy it locally.

Hey guys if you need the BRP one Bow Ridge Sports in Cochrane 403-932-2019 has about 8 in stock right now. Contact Bryan or Rick in parts and they can at least keep you going if you're still riding.

The 2012 X's had an aluminum reservoir on them the part number for the complete assembly is 507032510 but that number may supercede to an "updated" plastic one.
