Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this? I am down to just one sled now, and would like to be able to still use the box of my truck in the winter. Seems like losing the use of the box of my truck for the whole winter for the 3-4 trips I actually go on when I need to have my sled on the deck is kind of a waste. I was looking at this and it looks like a simple system to just pullout when you don't need it. I won't do anything like trifold ramps and have to try to carry them somewhere in the back of the truck without them ending up touching the sides of my sled. Just looking for something other than packing around the Marathon all winter when I don't need to.

I have a Marathon Truck Boss one and find it nice to still use box. I was able to haul a sled and a snowbike to mountains for a few trips still. 20170420_174638.jpg

You should try looking into a deck called braamp. They are built here locally in Prince Albert. Easy in and easy out.

Thanks for the replies guys. I just want to have nothing at all in the box of the truck except for when I am going sledding. My Marathon is still in awesome condition so it's not a new deck I am looking for; just no deck works better for hauling stuff other than my sled.

Braamp looks cool but you still lose the use of your box and have to take off your tailgate?

You can take it off in 3 minutes they say and most tailgates come off in seconds. Wouldn't want your tailgate down anyways as it would get chipped from road gravel and salt.

A guy would need to lock it to the truck or something while leaving it at the staging area.
I think a lot of the newer tailgates are a pita to take off with cameras etc.

They have a pretty nice product. A couple of friends have the braamp and love it. Only takes a few minutes to install and remove. The hardest part is the wiring on the tail gate for the rear view camera. need a cover for the plug so it doesn't get dirty. Your local automotive store will probably have a blank.

The truck manufacturer gives you a blank to plug into it. my F150 did was in a bag in the gove box. Takes me 2 mins to reach under and und unplug and remove tailgate.

I tried contacting them last winter with absolutley no response. I also contactacted a supplier of theirs in Golden BC and he said he had one Braaamp left and was not gonna get anymore. Cool product but i cant find any anywhere.

Got a good price from Martins on one. Next fall I’ll sell the deck and pick one up. Or swap someone for one.

Sure seems a lot easier to just ride up a little snowbank into the box. I've been doing that for literally 25 years when just taking one sled.

I bought one of the Nash single sled loaders( knockoff of Marlon) this year. I like the fact I can throw it out when not in use, takes up very little space, you don't damage your truck, or sled hauling a ramp and running up your tailgate.
only little issue is on day 2 of riding when all the ice and snow falls off it can be a bit of a fight to roll it over the chunks of ice, but still doable by yourself

love it, would buy it again in a min.
