hey all
I figured I would post these here, as the last topic was like 12 pages or something like that
a few wanted to see pics of it installed and w the sled on it
Pro's:
-lightweight
-easy to install w no drilling into the bed required. I used turnbuckles in all 4 corners + 2 ratchets in the front
-contruction is solid
-can load alone, no more calling a buddy to help lift sled in back of truck
-SuperClamp and track bar make securing it fast and convienient
-fits in bed w endgate up while not in use
-ramps will work with endgate on or off (I leave on for short trips, will take off for longer ones)
-ramps telescope to fit secure under the deck itself
-very affordable - $995 for the deck alone, plus $120 for SuperClamp + $35 for trackbar + $70 to ship
Con's:
-doesnt come w the 1/2" plywood installed as you see in pics. I installed to keep snow and ice out and off the ramps
-wouldnt suggest for sled's longer than 146, so wouldnt really accomodate longer track MTN sleds
-unloading can be cumbersome getting the middle ramp underneath the track
-one piece ramp would be better suited and easier IMO (similar to full size decks)
-doesnt solve storage issue, BUT .... is still better than a trailer IMO
So there it is, my small review of this deck after only a couple rides
Would I buy one again? .... YEP
AM I happy w the purchase ? .... YEP
I think Marathon did the best they could w this system all things considered
They do have a TRUCK BOSS version coming out for 1/2 ton's this summer, that I may consider picking up
Its a tad pricier at $2100-2500 (or so I have ben told on the price), BUT .. I can leave it on all year and it acts as a tonneau cover (lockable) as well
Any questions, please let me know
And a BIGG thanks to Aiden from Marathon for his help on getting this to me
