I have seen a rash of 2019 850's with blown engines in the last 3 weeks. All of these sleds have less than 2500kms on them. piston failure.
I heard that Banner in Vernon has 10 2019's lined up waiting for new motors

Anyone else seeing his in their area?

Seen one 19 go down at Park Nelson a month ago, he had just over 2000km. Sounded brutal when it locked up.

Overreving this engine is a major cause of piston failure.
You tach will not catch it, but it will be evident in the max rpm.

It’s clearly an epidemic. Anyone know how many 850s sold over the last 4 years? Just asking for a friend.

A friend told me 400 million units were sold. Not sure how accurate that is though.

What’s crazy is how small the number actually is. 125,000 units sold world wide every combined brand of sleds. Compare that to Honda or Yamahas individual motorcycle yearly sales in the millions. Sled sales peaked in the mid 90’s legit stats.
