There was some Malicious software found on the ad server. Most people with Virus software such as Norton or McAffee would have not let the threat in. If you don't have virus software you may want to run the following as a precaution. We have fixed the vulnerable security issue and have updated the software.

The file below is a good free anti malware software
Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware for free - Fileforum

Microsoft has one as well

Malicious Software Removal Tool

I run Norton and it found this and blocked it. But I run Malwarebytes once a week anyway.
Now knowing that microsoft has one I will add this as well.

I don't run an anti virus, and something got into my computer today...what a pain in the nards. Some crap called Whitesmoke, had a hell of a time getting rid of it.

It has been removed completely. Took me 5hrs 42 min. Now that I wasted all that time got other things to do. The software is being updated, right now. Before I finish. I guess it will be a late night AGAIN..

Why would you not run an antivirus???:nono::nono:

That's just plain.....risky (I am being nice).

If you think that it is too expensive to buy, there are plenty of free ones available. I have had good luck with AVG free for years. I run it on 5 different computers without any issues.

It looks to be an automated system that looks for sites that use the advertising software, hackers find holes and get in and place software. Guess I should of updated a while back. Now I am.

They should get a life and find something better to do.:nono:

I haven't ran anti virus in years, had more issues when I did. Had my current comp for almost 4 years and i've had a major issue with viruses once and I am not careful at all. Like today I ignored the warning all day, meh. The one time I had a issue, it was all fixed within about 10 mins.

Not reason to use anything if I don't have issues.....

Price is not it. McAfee froze my laptop, and Norton is plain and simple garbage. Aside from today, I have never had a problem without one, but I have had lots of grief with them. I don't believe in conspiracy theories, but I do think that alot of the viruses floating around belong to corporations suchas Norton....just creating a little job security. Plus they slow my computer down, so I choose to run without it.

You're right about Norton....it is more like Bloatware and it does tax the system......but there are more (simpler and very effective) systems besides McAffe and Norton.

FYI, Norton and McAfee, are pigs for laptops, they use a ton of battery life and processor memory, their better for Desktop system that are constantly plugged into a larger power supply. Kapersi, Bit Deffender and AVG are better for laptops, or so I'm told.

My malaware let it in (maybe it wasn't updated). Had a bugger of a time getting some babylon "game" , HDD "antivirus software" and some media player. Kept popping the internet up and various programs. Froze up the computer... Wouldn't let us system restore until a few hours later....probably once it was done copying all our files...

That program was not found by Symantec which really suprised me.

Gave the HDD problem described above, a FLV media player, and some other anoying BEBO search thing.

Good thing I had malware last week here at work that was possibly worse, so I had it all on my desktop ready to go.

Malaware is a GREAT program if this thing allows you to get internet access. Just keep trying for it and eventually it will let you in. Go to Remove Ultra Defragger (Uninstall Guide)

They have a cool executable file called rkill that kills the process tree that the malware is using, run that a couple times in a row and then you will be able to run malaware, or just follow the instructions on that page.

Thanks. Trying it now since I am still having issues.
