I have always been a fan of gherkins, much tastier than pickles.

I know my next bike won't be an MX bike. I hadn't had a bike in a long time and it was more an impulse buy.

Had a looked into the type of riding I would be doing I would have opted for a CRF-X or KTM XCF. Not only is it fitted for trail use it can still be ridden at the MX track.

wtf is gherkins? is that a brand

by the way if i had to do it again i'd buy an XCF, same power as a SXF, a little heavier, power start and bigger fuel tank..... brembo brakes
creamin myself just thinking about it

yep my next bike will either be a CRF-X or a XCF..

i could have bought a 2006 CRF250X for around 3600, but i bought the crf230f because i liked the small size of it, and i figured it would be a great bike to learn on, and i can give it to my son when he gets big enough..

but totally gonna get a KTM for my next bike im sure :p

No way, store bought pickles suck, its all about home-made stuff.

I don't know if I would get a new Honda or not, I hear the clutches on the newest bikes last about 4 hours of heavy use. KTM 250XCW or 300XCW would be my "new" picks. Maybe even a GAS GAS or TM if I had endless money. Either way I would likely only go with a 2 stroke due to ease of maintenance (and cost), light weight, kick over super easy, and run cool compared to the 4 strokes (nobody likes boillin over).

4 stroke air cooled honda 230cc is what i got now... lol

"ease of maintenance" is an understatement :p

although 2 strokes are cheaper and easier to fix... it has alot more regular maintenance required...

i will stick with my 4 strokes..

but i will probably go with the 300 KTM i have heard nothing but fabulous reviews on those bikes :D

Thats strange they don't have the 350 SXF-W on the KTM site. I have seen it, I am pretty sure it will be my next bike, the SixDays 250 is pretty sweet looking too. I know CycleWorks has them all, or did have them all awhile back.

The XCW or XCF is deffinetly not a road bike, even the bigger ones just have head and tail lights. When we ride in BC everyone we ride with has a KTM, evening rides are awesome.

Any of the new 4-strokes are in the same weight class as any available two strokes. I think the 250 XCF-W is around 226 lbs, the 250 2-stroke is like 221 lbs? I think their MX bike is around 215lbs, but again thats a straight MX bike, so no 18" rear which is heavier, no skid plates, no cool orange frame!

There are only a few others making 250 2-strokes still as well, yammy and maybe one other?

I wouldn't say the maintenance on the bikes differ all the much, they both have their pros and cons. 4-strokes have a few more parts in the top end, but with proper valve tolerance and cam chain tension they are bomb proof.

You should pick up some gherkins man! When I was single and living on my own a bottle of gherkins, some crackers and beer were staple food in my place! :d

What I have done is gone to canadian tire and got a mountain bike light they clamp on the hande bars and take a few double A batteries works slick doesnt even look that bad and if you go to the track they have a quick detach so the light slides off the mount.

For the rear I don't belive it needs to be a active brake light more so just a "running" light. and I rig up something like this

I was in Brule on May Long and the SRD and RCMP were checking everyone for registration, insurance and a plate. That's all. i don't have spark arrestors or headlights and about 3 bikes down there had lights and nobody I seen was being harassed. Its when you make them mad that they get the ticket book out and check every little thin out. I even got a sticker from them and the Lady RCMP couldnt see my plate. I pointed it out to her 3 times and she still didn't see it till I touched and showed her. Treat them with respect and they will do the same in return. Remember its there job you don't want people coming to your job and being a complete dick to you. :th_quad: happy riding.
