Anyone made a major purchase (Sled, ATV, Boat, RV etc) at a trade show? Do you feel you got the best price? Any buyers remorse with the higher pressure and more impulsive enviroment? Would you do it again?

depends what you are buying?

RV and Boat shows sell a fair bit of product as the ,manufacturer does add incentives therefore yes sometime the best price is at the shows. Well for Boats its actualy the second best price as doing an early order in october/ november would get ya an extra 2% so on 100k boats everything helps but you will also have to take delivary or at least pay for it in January so all comes down to the buyer. I am not sure about sleds and ATV's.

I would say go to the shows on the thursday or friday and do all your homework head home saturday to think and research ask for free tickets on sunday so you can come back and grind out the best deal on the last day.

I bought a boat in 06 at the show and I just bought another this year but all my homework was done well before and most dealers will give you the manufacturer incentive a weeek or 2 before the show to free up their time at the show. Ask your dealer before the show for tickets as well they always have them for customers.
best part is everything is under 1 roof!!

good luck

Well since the world didn't end on the 21st, I guess I'll have to work on paying off the kick ass boat that I bought.
:)
I went in on the weekend and got a price on a sound system from the dealer. I got a written quote, and he also guaranteed his quote saying that if I find a lower price at the show, he will beat it. This way, I wasn't in a pressure situation and I had the dealers full attention for the entire time I was there.

i bought a holiday trailer about 5k under their regular price. i did my shopping around for 1.5 years so i was monitoring the prices through the year and i found you can get the best deal at the show... if you have good credit you also get the best interest rates during those shows too

but its even better to know an owner of a dealership hahaha

The wife made the mistake of driving her sister in laws quad last fall and wants one of her own now. Polaris has some good prices there so we will take a closer look and compare to some other brands.

We bought a new RV (bumper pull trailer) at an RV show here two months ago !! Been looking and spotted this one we liked .....looked at 3 times before pulling the plug on it !! (after LOTS of research on quality and price) Got a pretty decent deal after all was said and done. Now hopefully she turns out to be a good trailer !!

Went to the home show last weekend.......... ended up with a new hot tub !! Been wanting (looking) for about 2 years........himming and hawing lots about getting one !! Got a REALLY good deal at the "show" cause the factory rep was there and he kept adding stuff to get me to sign up for it !! Hope this is going to be a good "deal" !! Take delivery in June.....cause thats when I wanted it....have to get all the ground work ready !!!

Damn home shows !!! Getting hard on the old wallet !!!!

Just got home from the sportsman show. Wifey pulled the trigger on her quad. I didn't get a chance to look for my prop or the Sthil chainsaws for $200.00.
Have to wait till next year I guess.
