We were joking around, like we always are. She says Dad when do I get a new sled. I said when you can do a "J' hook, on purpose, (just had to throw that in there) I will buy you a new sled.

So think I'm in trouble or do I have a few years?

you are in trouble. I told my son when he could kick start my dirt bike he could ride it. He had it going when he could barely touch the foot pegs let along the ground. Good luck

Yeah not smart to make those deals with kids, i made one with my daughter that if she saved enough money to buy all the proper gear for a dirt bike i would buy it, well after raking and shovelling her but off 3 months later there i was in the yamaha dealership, and she's was only 11yrs old

Better start shopping Highfly.... Once Tam & the girls get wind of this they'll be dedicated to teaching her how to pull of the J hook purposely!

My son wanted a dirt bike many years ago so I said as a joke " When you can ride your bike without training wheels I will get you a Dirt bike". Though that was the end of it till the next day when he says " Daddy I want you to take off my training wheels"--Wifes got a smirk on her face. So I take them off, he gets on the bike, rides for two feet and falls over. " See Daddy, I can ride without training wheels" I go to say what your all thinkin--- Wife says---- "You never said how far he had to go!"- Damm- Son got a dirt bike

same thing happened here!!! Was soooo awesome to see his face when he seen it in the back of my pickup. First one was a RM 50 for the summer then he was already ringing that out. So went to Stojans and bought him a KX 65, that lil bike was bullet proof!

He then moved on threw the years to racing Amature/Expert in CMRC etc.........

My 5 year old boy wants one now BAD as as my 7 yr old lil girl, so this spring ;)

My dad told my brother's when I stopped riding my trike and started riding a two wheeler with out training wheels they could think about getting me a dirt bike. I heard that and picked up my sisters bike and did two laps around the yard. We had hand me down bikes and I thought my trike was cooler. Lol
His face was priceless and my brother's laughed for the rest of the night. Two weeks later they showed up with a brand new Yamaha Y-zinger 50. I thought my mom was gonna faint. My parents made me wait till spring to ride it as I was 4 but I sat on it in the basement all winter when watching tv and rode it for the first time before I turned 5.

So when you going sled shopping....lol

No it won't be long Jaymie has been riding her own sled since she was 6. Last year she was starting to learn to side hill on her own. This year we are making some pretty drastic changes to her Indy Lite so she will still be able to ride it for a few more years before jumping up to the powder special.
