If your a big guy definatley get the M1000 to pull you around! I have a turbo'd M1000 and it ripps! I had before just the slp pipe set up and nothing stock even the stock M1000 could keep up! foe example my bud had some issues with his M1000 and we raced it against a new HCR and the HCR beat it by 8 sled lenghts.. After we fixed whar was wrong with the sled..( found out hi spider ch!t the bed and spring and a tear in his power valve boot) We raced both sleds again and it was a good 9-10 sled lenghts diff and the M1 kept pulling! Just like everyone says.. Can't beat displacement! And future mods go were any modded 800 cant!

Well put sleddmamma! I am 240 6'3. Rode my 2008 M8 (y-pipe and can) for the last 3 years and this year bought a new 2009 M1000 162 put a Y-pipe and can on it and you cannot compare the power! Love the M1000 and I notice very little weight difference at all. The 1000 keeps pulling, put dalton adjustable weights in to get the rpm's just right and what a difference. Still have the M8 as a spare and it has been used twice this year by my 2 buddies who's skidoos siezed up. I vote for M1000 based on your size and my experience.

I do 85% in the trees all day and would still take my 1000. Low clutch engagment and I do not notice any weight difference. I always say when your 240lbs what's another 5or10! LOL All the guys I ride with are 160lbs to 210lbs and they are usually following me. It has alot to do with the rider.
