One of my complaints on the M series is the angle of the gauge. I never sit down and always ride standing up but I can't see the gauge properly. I know there are other products out there like the "gauge cage" but I never cared for the final look of them. Saw the "Eye Pods" and ordered one up. Pretty straight forward to install and I'm happy with the final layout. It is open underneath and has a little door to carry a spare set of goggles, screens to help prevent snow intake. Here's a few pic's showing what comes in the kit and the unit installed. I ordered it without the gauge cutouts because I have no need for extra gauge's mounted there. Turbo guys might find that pretty handy.

I tried to grab a pic of the door but it's to dark to trun out. You get at the door underneath when you tilt the hood. It's optional to put the little door on or not. If you do want it you have to remove the left air intake so not a big deal. Here's what the door looks like in the kit. It just helps hold gloves or goggles in the shell so they don't fall out on the muffler.

These will work with the regular or sno pro gauge.

u should get a pic of it standing back a bit

Here you go. Pictures are a little deceiving. The unit actually fits in there good and snug.

Here is a nice clean one that I put on my sled that I bought through Darren @ E&S Motorcycles and took 5 mins to install and the heat escapes awesome and it doesnt look cheap or tackey either. I think it was around $150. It is so nice as the gauge is so easy to read now when your trying to tune the sled. You can also get it in a polished finished. You can get them for the snow pro model also. I put my goggles by it when the fogg or ice up and they are clear and dry in a minute.

I really like Black Diamond products,I have the airbox, light weight rear bumper but I also like AMP billit products,I have their riser and gauge cage.
They are top quality,I have rolled my sled over many times and no problems.

I hate to be the negative guy all the time, but not a fan of the way BDX designed that. The plastic looks a little cheap and the pods for extra gauges really turn me off. Plus It sits above the hood. I like running w/o a windshield and the gauge would stick above it which looks silly. The AMP one looks really great but is rather expensive for now. Maybe in the off season.

Nice to see this thread- wasnt sure if I was the only one who thought the M8's gauges were in a crappy place... Will definitely be looking into some mods... thanks!
