what is the difference between a m7 and a crossfire besides gearing, track length and lug size.I am looking for a universal sled that can ride trails and still play in pow when needed.I hear some ppl put a 1.75-2" on there CF so i wonder why put a 2" on a CF when u can just buy an m7?

I have both, and the Crossfire has a wider stance VS the M. I believe the Crossfire is 42-44" stance and the M is 39-41 stance. It was a big change for me. I felt the M was VERY tippy at first, but the more I ride it, the more I LOVE my M7. Hopped onto the Crossfire last weekend after riding the M7... that lasted 3 mins before I wanted the M back, LOL. The gas tank on the Crossfire is also wider than the M's. Tunnel's are different near the rear, and weight is different, the M is lighter. .... thats all I can say on the issue. IMHO, if I had the choice over the 2, I would go with the M. :d

Check out this link, it compares the 2 sled. I put the year of sleds I have but you can change that....

I'm with Mare.. I have both and I still prefer the M.. But again, that depends on just how much trail riding you do.. I myself don't like trail riding, and only use them when I have to.
