My buddies Lynx rear suspension scissors keep inverting ("grasshopper" legs scissor on either side normally pointing backwards) flip to pointing to front when picking up sled by rear bumper and suspension fully extends. We tightened track up on the hill and it still happened. Any ideas or similar experiences?

Check all the bolts in the skid, make sure they're tight.
Otherwise I believe the shock itself is the extension limit for the suspension, if it can over travel so can the suspension and cause the arms to flip.

The 'by the rear bumper' got me confused. I didn't think they had one lol.
A buddy has a new Shredder turbo. I didn't notice the issue you are explaining, but the one issue we did have was picking the sled up out of a trench. The skid wanted to drop as we were lifting it up (not easy to do without a bumper to grab onto). We actually had to get down to and lift up the back end from the track.

The 2023 lynx shredder’s do not come with a rear bumper. We have to buy them. The heavy duty BRP rear bumpers fit. I had my dealer install one on my shredder DS. Just another way for BRP to get more of your cash.

So the scissor inverted again even after tightening the track…. Even talked to a dealer who said the main shock should keep this from happening. Checked it and shock and bushings all look fine. No other stops are visible that would keep it from getting inverted. Second pic is normal for reference.

I had a video of us helping him but it looked like we were just standing around his sled drinking beer, not showing the problem clearly.
I you look at this picture you should get an idea. The rear of the skid drops out until the hinge of the rear scissor actually goes over center and locks in that postion. There are no tabs to stop it from going over-center. The shocks maximum extension appears to be the only thing that limits this. I am expecting worn bushings on both ends of the shock because the shock seems to work fine??

The tab to stop the overcentre is only on the pto side of the sled. Either its missing or something is bent.

I'm surprised the shock has that much extra travel. I wonder if there is an internal bumpstop that is damaged or missing.
