OK, getting a sled real soon but know absolutely nothing about them and getting mixed messages about what to get and not to touch.

Was told to stay away from triples and fan cooled is better for trail riding.

And help, experience or feedback would be appreciated.

All I know is I want a 600+ and reverse, have about $2000 - $3000.00 budget.

No really looking for brand specific IE: Polaris is crap, Ski Doo sucks....etc... but more what to look for (what to inspect) when buying and what are the signs one has been abused?

and I'm in Nova Scotia is anyone is selling!

one thing though will be very hard if not impossible to get 600+ and air cooled, go for the 583 or 670 mxz exc/ machine and lots out there. could go newer chassis and posssibly get ino the zx for that money as well. just remember if buying from around home, those years of chassis will be miled to death.

I possibly picking up a 1996 Polaris 680 Ultra tomorrow and was wondering what I should look for before purchasing.

Common problems, issues, etc...

Sled visually looks ok in picutres, but has 12,000 km's on it, so thats my worry.
