looking for a used crossfire

ok and yes I have heard good things about T&T and I was just wondering because my friend has a 2008 m8 and he likes it but I see him struggle with turning but thank you very much for your input might go to T&T and see what they have I have went to dons and they only have brand new crossfires and the f series

its not the sled, its the operator, body english goes a long ways in turning a machine around, as well as throttle control.

yes I think that is what people are saying when they tell me they bend rails, when they come out of a big drift/bowl and land on the end of the track

If you have anything that thing and you put that kind of weight on the end of it, of course its going to bend.......

try it with a pencil....... put it flat on the ground and try to bend it, then put it on the end and try to bend it.

pretty sure any sled that took that impact directly on the end of the rails would bend. but i would talk to terry and see what he thinks, he has lots of used, and lots on consignment and will set you in the right direction.....when i was shopping he helped me deicide what would be best for what i wanted and has been dealer ever since and 3 sleds later

Hey! I'm Ally, I work at T&T.
We do have a couple used Crossfires! Like the boys said, this time of year is nuts for sled stuff - stock turns over so quickly!
Anyways - looks like we've got a 2009 Crossfire 800 SnoPro White/Orange. With 2903 miles. $7,300
2008 Crossfire 800 SnoPro Orange with wrap. With 2176 miles. $ 6,200

What kind of riding do you plan on doing? Where do you plan on riding? most crossfire's can be setup to perform to most needs, m's are no problem to ditch run as well. In powder you will virtually notice little difference turning wise, hard pack the longer track and narrow ski stance can push a bit but still nothing that can't be negotiated with a lil body input.

i mainly ditch bang and sometimes hard pack but also i play in the river valley witch is just north of my house but i do go on long trips and hop from field to field so it is hard to say and i thought that the crossfire would suit what i do because it is kinda best of both worlds because it has a long enough track i can go into deep powder but not to long that it is hard to turn

Not trying to sell my friends HCR, but that is what a HCR is made for....... exactly what you are looking for from a multi purpose sled, check out the Cat website to see what they are? As Plio7 has mentioned many times...... it is a myth about the rails bending from ditch banging!!! I pounded the chit out of my Doo 159, and it turned on a dime. Just as my Dragon does..... Yap with Ally @ T&T for a Crossfire, as a Cat Dealer. I highly recommend them as well!!!

Hmm, if you are after a crossfire, then I suggest looking for something like the 2011 limited, they are sublime green in color, feature 1.5 or 2.25 track, mountain seat, hand guards, 56/64 gearing, and all of the snow pro features such as the deluxe guage, telescoping bars and fox floats. You can also can upgrade the standard or snow pro to the 2.25 track, they generally go around the 1000 dollar mark from cat. You will have fun with the 141 trust me, they like to tail walk like no tomorrow. The newer the crossfire the better (just my opinion) 09 and up like the m receive the tail side upgrades and 2010 and up have the ho motor, 09 and earlier can be brought up to 2010-up horsepower easily though. When buying used check things like your power valve cables, primary and secondary clutches (springs, spider, rollers e.t.c,) and diamond drive. Hopefully this answers some questions for you.

yes i know the 2011 green are by far my fav looking and ya thats kinda why i want one because they are just so easy to throw around and stupid amount of power and ya im just going for the 2.25 because the 1.5 i think just spins out to much and with that amount of power it would trench itself by loosing traction and spinning itself down

no i understand where you are coming from but i just think their is no difference between the HCR and a m series

Both tracks will trench regardless of lug weight, you are still at the mercy of track length, however positioning on the sled is key and anticipate turning out sooner with a 141 versus a 153 and longer on climb. But on the flat hardly any worries.

You need to try a HCR and a M Series, before you make that assumption. There is a BIG difference between the 2
