Good friend of mine has been going to Cafe Amore Bistro for years and swears it's the best Italian restaurant in Edmonton.
That is by far the best Italian restaurant in Edmonton

I avoid the Keg now. Tried it several times and have never had a really decent meal there. Over priced, over rated, poor service. Never again.
For mainstream, the Sawmill. Its tops in my books.
I agree I don’t like the keg. I don’t even like the clientele to go there

Really, I would say the same for the sawmill has really gone downhill. I guess every restaurants are different individually owned these days.

The Riverbank Bistro on Mission Ave. in St. Albert is very very good, especially for a special occasion. You will likely need to make a reservation.

Giving Blue truck bbq a try.

Wasn't really worth it. Has potential.
I went with the plater.
Ribs were tough and rubbery.
Chicken was burnt.
Pulled pork had more fat in it than meat.
Kid loved the cornbread.
Wife said her chicken tenders were good.

That's disappointing. I figured that place really missed the mark being in the location it is next to Princess Auto and not being a fast food takeout type place. It's just not in a location for that type of restaurant.

You want good smoked meat try Smoke and Ash in Acheson. Had it a couple times and been great!

Heard a lot of good things about that place, gonna have to try it one day.
it's very good, but it's a bit spendy. Everything is a la carte, we've only gone once but I would definitely recommend it.
