I'm thinking off adding some length to my 2000 RMK 136" xtralite!
maybe 144" ? not sure about cost or practicality?? My machine only has 450 orig miles on it.. don't want to replace it!
any pros or cons or information on this topic would be hugely appreciated!

Thanks

I went from 121 to 144 on my '00 MXZ700............i was told to change the gearing which I did................clutching may be an option depends on the sled.

If you are going from 136 to 144", not sure what length lugs on your track now? but go with a longer lug track if it will fit........

I don't think a longer tunnel is required in your case. if you went longer than 144" then you would need to extend the tunnel.

cheers

Ok so here is how it turned out!
I bought a tunnel and rail extention kit for my 98 Indy 488fan cooled from slp for $279.00 us. to go from 121 to 136" the kit makes it look stock..
will have to re-gear it!
I used the 136" X2" track off my 2000 RMK to complete my 98.
I then bought a used 144" track (which I found on this website!) and an slp 136-144" rail extentions for $79.00 .. no tunnel extention required, or gearing!
So now I have long tracked both machines for under $1000.00 :common001Thanks to everyone for your comments. they were helpful !! ::thumbsup2:

And thanks to Mud and Snow for making it possible
WG

This is the end result!
