Weird issue this weekend, 2014 stock xm running flawless all day until this issue starts for no apparent reason. So if the sled is cooled off I can do a long pull with no issues and full power but if I ride around for any period of time it's next pull it will fall on it's face after about 10 seconds. The more throttle you give the faster it falls off, it will initial drop to 6000rpm then continues to fall until it quits. Instantly restart and you can do another flawless, the more WOT the faster and worse it is.

Changed the inline fuel filter as it seemed plugged but no help.
What it going on here.

Assuming your air intakes were not plugged off with snow?
Start with the simple troubleshooting. Pull and clean exhaust probe sensor, check electrical connections. Change plugs. Still no change, check vacuum line to rave valves (seen them get hot and pinch off or melt completely. Clean rave valves.

Did everything except the probe, rave lines are all good and watched valves cycle open and closed( belt off) everything looks 100 % but I'll try the probe tomorrow, also shutting the off for even 2 seconds almost seems to reset it for another pull

Just had the same problem, luckily under warranty. in the end it was the fuel pump that was the issue. believe it or not it was over pressuring the fuel system.

First time this happened to me was the fuel filter, second time it was the fuel pressure regulator. My internal tank filter was also dirty, you need to scope the inside of the tank to see if the regulator has split from the housing.

I am not super familiar with the regulator setup on these. How would test it?

I have since pulled the pump and checked the regulator and it is still in place and doesn't appear to be the issue. I have a gauge i am going to tie in and test the pump and the actual function of the regulator. does anyone know what the pump pressure is supposed to be? also how long and what is the allowable leak down for the regulator? I just want to cover my bases before buying a new fuel pump....
Also does anyone know if there is a simple replacement for the pump itself without going through DOO.
thanks

You can get pump only out of the states for $70 about $150 landed cost. Have to use your original regulator and assy tho.

EXACTLY, same problem I'm having. Dealer ran all tests, said it checked out but feels that once the pump is all warmed up, it starts to act up. I ordered and talked to the place the guy above listed, pump should be here this week, hopefully sneak out in 2 weeks to test it out. Believe $130 to my door, lot better than the $600 skidoo wants, just a little extra work, but not much.

Just got it installed and went for a quick test ride with our new 4" of snow. Seems to be running good so far. Won't know for sure till I get it into the hills 2 weeks.
