Wondering how the trails held up this winter. Did the new outfit work well? I suppose you don't have a lot of snow left now with all the warm temps.

We were out there last weekend. Still lots of snow back in the trees! Knee deep in some places. And the groomed portions were awesome!

I'm finished grooming for this season, the tracks are off and taking stock on the year with the Geo. With the new rig I will groom into the next decade
or until someone takes over. The Newbrook rally went over some of the south trails so it will be rough there, but the rest won't be too bad.
If there is some other club or group the is thinking of using A Geo to groom with instead of an expensive side by side please contact me and I will be glade to go through
everything I picked up during the season. With the Geo or something like it you will save 10k from your budget, and be more comfortable. The Tatou S4 tracks can handle the weight
and the torque if you don't abuse them. The nice thing was all my equipment was stored in the back of the rig, free from snow etc.
Many folks asked how I installed the anti rotation brackets, I didn't use them, with the speed I was traveling I felt it was not an issue, never once did I get close to a rotating situation.
You need a winch, I used it once, but it is a must, with not installing a Locker I always had a couple of small pieces od snowmobile track I could place under the spinning track if I needed it, never used it.
I spit the front track off once and that was due to NOT doing a walk around before I went out, had I done my walk around I would have noticed one of the Guide wheels
had worn away on the inside and needed to be replaced.
I am a firm believer the Automatic transmission is the only way to go, there would never be enough time to clutch and shift without losing all your momentum, with the Auto you also get the benefit of a torque converter when lifting off, with the blades digging there is quite a pull when you take off.

Did a mod to the drag, always spilling snow when using this thing,
not anymore

Carefull hooking trees and stuff. May rip off. Is it flexible at all? You need a wider packer now Don

The wings are pretty tough, if I hook something big it will jar the rig.
I was thinking of a wider groomer but no use getting greedy, everything works too good to change.
