Hi, I will take the troops anytime. I leave at 1030 on sat. and 1230 on sunday.
Always back by 4:00 Usually around 70 to 100 k on sat and 50 to 60 k on sundays.
I usually plan a "Boys" ride a couple times a month, but normally it's just good old family riding, see the sites have a fire and some cubie.
See you on the trails

Hi Folks
Well we had -21 this morning at the lake, that is definately making ice so I would say it should be good to do a little ice fishing now. I did some testing last weekend and there was 8 inches in front of our beach and simular on the north creek, never trust the ice on the creek it will bite you, than get you wet.
Still no snow yet but there calling for it by friday, the paddle tracked machines will not make it, but the old style machines could go for a little ride around here.
I'm hoping this will not be a quading season at the lake, so much for my prediction .

Have a safe one.

Well guys 6inches so far and the snow keeps coming, if you ride this weekend be very cautious of the lakes, the snow has now covered the wet spots and the thin ice is covered over.

Ride safe

Well guys it's 1030 pm it's still snowing hard and we must have at least a foot over all, so not much of a base but let it settle and we could go for a ride without screwing a set of sliders. I think I'll stay off the sled this weekend and pull a couple of super duty tires behind the Rhino and do some trail grooming before the sleds get out here.
See you on the trails
PS No more days until riding

Well guys after it's all over I think we have a good 12 inches of snow, and the base is not too bad. I'll go for a ride tomorrow and check out the trails. I crossed the lake at the NARROWS today doing my ice testing and the min. was 8 inches to a max. of 10 inches. No over flow yet but with the weight of the snow this should happen over the next few days. The temp should go to -25 here and that will help the base and the ice conditions. I don't know why you shouldn't be out here next weekend riding.

See you on the trails
Don
P.S. stay off the north creek, not safe yet

Well Guys alot of folks stage a Happys store which is 10 miles south of Boyle on hwy 831. The owner Bob will let you park at the store and you can take off from there. From the store you will ditch ride north for approx. 3 km until you see the power line, go east at the power line and it will take you down into the lake area and start exploring from there. there are trails at the northend of the cabin area off the pavement, you can cross the lake at the narrows and pick up trails there, the trails are not marked so watch where you are going, use a gps, and venture a little further every time you come out. The LLake area has approx 1000 km of trails, siesmic and pipe line, I have been in the area since the 80's and still haven't hit them all.
