That LNG line to kitimat is a different political topic over northern gateway, natural gas is a easy spill cleanup.

Gas or oil. There's no difference. It's all about politics and the all mighty dollar.I'll believe this is going through when it's completed.

There is a big difference, its not fort mac dilbit in the line. Its all about the product, and peoples views and opinions cause they don’t understand it.
What people do understand is, a gas leak will not have a environmental impact on the environment like a liquid spill.

Dilbit lines.
Energy east canceled
Northern gateway canceled
Transmountain canceled

Natural Gas lines.
Transcanada Pipeline NGL expansion line completed in various parts of Alberta from northern Alberta to central.

Transcanada coastal link approved and was welcomed by the BC residents while northern gateway was not.

Transcanada NGTL 2021 expansion in the approval process.

Guess I didn't explain myself very well. To the protesters and the people funding them it doesn't matter. It's all about big business. They could give a fawk about the environment.

You did, I understood what you ment and you are correct. Im wondering if im not explaining myself, to my knowledge you dont see celebrity’s visiting and talking about gas plants.
Their focus for years is mainly on the Alberta “tar sands” as they call it, its dirty oil so they think, and they want to see it shut down.

So as long as the plan is to have dilbit in a new pipeline they will fight to have that project canceled.

Maybe with a new premier in Quebec and a promising election next year ?
Pipe will go east as it should . IMO

120 BILLION DOLLARS!!! ......Canada has spent 120 BILLION in the last 6 years importing foreign oil.

We need leaders who puts Canadians first!

How many jobs have been lost by allowing the Energy East pipeline to be cancelled??....
How much money has Canada lost because our leaders allowed the cancellation of the energy east pipeline??

And now they are doing it again by not standing up to a few voices on the TMX pipeline??

Canada sure has lost it's vision.....

No cries about ships affecting marine life near Kitamat.
What am I about to say can be spun by the retards on this site so let me be clear: I support TMX and am as frustrated as anyone that these tiny special interest groups are holding it up, especially the FN and other groups that want gov't money but oppose all projects that create tax revenue.

Kitimat has far less ship traffic than Burrard Inlet so adding ships is less of an impact also the northern resident killer whales are a separate healthy population and not threatened like the southern population is. That said I've still heard lots of these same anti everything fawks complaining about the extra traffic to Kitimat.

BUT, the raw sewage problem with e-coli combined with overpopulation of seals which eat the salmon that are the killer whales main staple, are the main real problems with the Orcas... or so I've been told ;)

I would say the salmon are big part of it. The commercial ocean fishery needs to go away for a few cycles and the netting on the rivers by FN needs to be shutdown as well.

Maybe I'm too much of a conspiracy theorist. But I believe there are people behind the scenes that actually control the world. Politicians are just puppets. Call them NWO, Illuminati. The Rockefellers???? All of this back and forth with protesters and natives and politicians is just smoke and mirrors.

Absolutely! As long as oil is involved, the US somehow will poke there nose in it, and try to control it. They have been doing this for decades. We have a Govt with a leader that has a spine of a wet noodle that’s making things worse, Gift a Pipeline to the natives. I don’t consider myself a conspiracy theorist, but hummm “something is afoot Watson”

The LNG line will have a way better chance of getting completed.

no this project is for the island not west van. West Van already has a treatment plant under the Lions Gate bridge and they are building a new one as well with construction already started.

but they're only addressing west vancouver... 3 other raw sewage outlets with nothing yet planned, not to mention the sunshine coast and the island

What about the other raw sewage dump points?
How much are they still dumping per day.

not sure what you mean by other dump points? you mean other cities? At this point Victoria was the worst and apparently they are finally doing something about it. Vancouver has a treatment plant(s) but during heavy rains apparently some waste water and sewage gets dumped into the waterways. Not acceptable IMO but they are fixing it.
