Light bulbs

For 21 watts these things throw a lot of light, could not find it in costco.ca.

At 1400 lumens? What is a lot of light to you?

Two 1700 lumen bulbs in my garage and it was worse than 2 old 100w incandescents. I'm not looking to save electricity, I'm looking for light required to work on things.

I have something on order and will provide pictures this week.

In our house we got the government paid for led bulbs. Lol

In my garage I went with Costco motion sensor Led 4 foot lights. Work fantastic. Plus shut off themselves

Thats per tube, so I have 21000lumens in my garage.
Its very rare for a LED to actually burn out. The ballest or heat sink in the bulb or fixture is usually the cause for a bulb failure. I recently had to replace a ballests in one of my garage fixtures.


I went from a 32w 6500k fluorescent tubes to those. Its way brighter in my garage now and its instant light.

If it’s for a shop or garage I would recommend Hyperikon. As I get older I find I need more lighting to see.
These replace the fluorescents I use to have. They are easily twice as bright and use half the energy. I think they are rated for 50,000 hrs. You can get the ones that don’t require a ballast. Supper easy to install as they just fit in place where the old ones were. They are a little pricey but if you are in the garage or shop a lot they will eventually pay for themselves. I have had them for two years and no issue. They are also well built. I have dropped one on the cement floor and no damage. Try that with a fluorescent. You will need to check your tombstones in you existing fixtures to see if they are the right ones. I was lucky enough to have the right ones as the fixture were older. Some
Of the newer fluorescent fixtures don’t have compatible tombstones but when you order the Hyperion most of them come with the toombstones you will need. Good luck.

Well they are not expensive, and easy to install. Your not out nothing to buy one. It has been about 10 years since i had incandescent bulbs. But memory of them they were not that bright. You never know that one light bulb might be bright enough for people to actually see their power bills for a change and watch them drop by 200 dollars on their way to team power smart.
