thats a BAAAAAAD idea joey, when you get it out there no matter what you will need an out of town inspection, and do you have any idea how hard they are on older cars......#1 to pass that cherry bomb will have to come off and a proper exaust put on. and then who knows....any holes will have to be properly repaired, it will need a flawless window, near perfect brakes, nearly new tires......buying an older vehicle and bringing it to another province is more headache than its worth man just some words of advise.

I think you gave it too much credit. I didn't say anything because I figured it ain't gonna make it to BC!! :D

I'm more wondering why his parents never thought of this ahead of time.....buying a 200$ car to try to register in another province is a waste of time plain and simple......if your going to buy something to take to another province you better buy a cherry......

joay let mwe put it this way, my friend drove out his 99' silverado, very nice truck, in great shape....it cost him $1500 to get it to pass an out of province inspection

another horror story Joey.....in 2000 my 2000 GMC Sierra was brought in as "settler's possessions" and it was only 6 months old.....went through the inspection thingy and it required a windshield ($600 from the GM dealer) so I went back to Alberta and got one for cash for $200. The truck passed and everything was fine.....

Wife's 2001 VW Beetle was bought in Alberta and brought in for inspection in 2003; windshield and a few other odds and ends and that was quite a few hundred also.....

BC.....bring cash....hope your dad has it figured out....just saying

nothing to do with fords joey, and no its not a prank, if you are looking ot use it just to get you out there with some of your stuff, then giver aslong as you have an "in transit" permit, but once you get there yes you will face an out of province inspection and it can be very expensive, and they go through everything with a fine tooth comb...the story about my buddies truck is 100% true

it won't.

not with bondo and a cherry bomb on it. not a chance.

one time they made me replace the windshield wipers.

When you get it to victoria, drive it into the scrap yard and take the cash you get for it from the scrap dealer and go buy another $200 car in BC that won't need an inspection.

There is no fawkin' way this Joey guy is real. Shame on fellow S&M members for following this charade for as long as you have,:nono:

The DPFN is not impressed with Joey's ignorance of our beliefs, choice of tires, and the choice of a Topaz for transportation.

Thank you,

Chief TC

I used to do out of Province inspections and write off inspections.

The vehicle basically needs to be in showroom condition.

And yes people have had to replace windshield wipers, windshields and a lot of other things.

It also costs $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I would try to sell the car and buy a different one in BC. Its none of my business, but if I was in your families situation I would take my family to Alberta where there is lots of work. Stick your a$$ in a public school and make you learn about something besides hangman. Plus you have a lot of S&M friends there that would love to bring you along on some trips.
