dont do the levelling kit you may as well just go with a nice 4inch I had a ready lift levelling kit in my 2010 gmc diesel and took it out after 500 km's on it they mess the angles of your CV joints up a ton if you ever have to use 4x4 and use it hard to get out of a stuck well then be very prepared to replace either your tierods or pitman idler arms imo keep it stock, lower it, or go with a proper lift kit dont cheap out on suspension it is not worth it!!!! I have had 4 lifted w/proper lifts and liked them all started w/levelling kits that i hated I'am now on a lowered 2010 gmc diesel and will never go back to lifting one again

that sucks, i really liked the leveling kit in my half ton with skyjacker shocks. Never had a problem with the front end. I guess i will stay stock for now.

I've had the leveling kit in mine for the last 100000 KM and not one issue. I drive oil field roads all the time with lots of 4x4ing everything works no issues so far.

YOUR DEALER IS FIBBING:eek::d....... WE'VE DONE MANY OF THEM, AND NEVER A BALL JOINT PROBLEM YET, THAT WAS RELATED TO THE KEYS. WAY CHEAPER AND RETAINS THE STOCK RIDE. KEEP IN MIND YOU NEED TO DO A WHEEL ALIGNMENT AND HEADLITE ALIGNMENT AFTERWARDS.

I find that very very hard to beleieve there is no possible way that with those angles that levelling kits produce dont wear your ball joints out we have been doing levelling kits since 2004 on diesels and every single truck comes back in 6months to a year for ball joint. levelling kits are the worst suspension products on the markets they have the worst wear on vehicles out of any lift or lowering kit!!!! your cv angles are all different you are putting a ton of strian on all your front end parts with the different angles only way to get away from the shocks pounding out is go with new ones or put the upper control arms on and even then you get to fit a whopping 33'' tire with trimming on it big deal!!! spend the money do it rite through a 4'' under there and run some 35's and keep the proper angles on your front end and then you wont loose your nice ride quality like you are gonna from a levelling kit and no one can tell me different about the ride quality cause it is chit after you turn the torsion keys up thats why I just took my 3 and final levelling kit hunk of junk out!!!!

for the amount of money you are gonna spend on rims, tires, the kit w/the install and alignment to gain a whopping 3'' is way to much to loose the quality of your factory ride stay stock height with some new rims and a size bigger tires with a set of rear airbags and you will be way happier for the street and for towing trust me on this I just did it to my 2010 duramax because of bad ride bad cv angles and major wear on the front end not to mention the gas you then go through for the bigger tires no matter what with a levelling kit you loose!!!! if u want a good kit for the chev I will gladly sell you my new readylift w/shock extenders $150 as I hate it and took it out but if dead set on a levelling kit just buy this one way cheaper than going new and only has 5000 km's on it

We do lots, and have done several fleets with lifts that are over 2 years ago, and they average 100,000kms+ a year each vehicle...... Get normal ball joint related problems, but ride quality is basically the same.........we only put in 2" lift with stock torsion spring turns, so it will retain ride quality...... If you go for 3" lift, you will change the ride quality, because you're cranking the torsions up more...... Rancho shocks can be had in 1", 2" or even 3" longer reach. Jus' sayin'

i'm sure a few people have had luck with them I know my 5 shops and a ton of otheres here in pincher creek and cranbrook have all had major major problems with them the most of them are loggers or miners so bad roads are everyday with them in my opinion if you are gonna do any suspension on your vehicle either lower it,keep it stock,or properly lift the truck with a nice suspension lift that has no cv angle changes yeah you can put the new shocks in to help the ride from that stiff cranked up ride but it is still rougher than a factory height truck with better shocks or a properly lifted truck. make sure if you just crank the keys up to make sure the surface is 100% level and checks his turns a few times cause it is very easy to get a truck that is a 1/4-3/4 of an inch out in height between both front corners and make sure you dont go over 2'' or you loose your whole ride quality. IMO $400 plus rims and tires for a rougher ride more fuel used and more front end headaches is not worth it at all

I don't know what route i wanna go. All i would like is to raise the front to be level with the back (1.5-2") use stock rims with 265/75/16's maybe 285's. I drive a about a 60/40 mix of hiway and gravel, nothing compared to a logging or mining road.

I really appreciate all the input

here is the chaep easy way to do it with still keeping the stock ride and levelling every thing out it comes from ground force and is a 2'' lowering kit for the rear all it does is extended your rear spring shackles this is what i have done on my 2010 duramax I will get some pics up it makes the front and rear level and still can put rear airbags in to help with trailer towing trust me it is the way to go!!!!!

Ya please post some pics but i would still want a little more gound clearance so if i do get into some ruts i don't rip off the front bumber. If i can do that mod you speak of and put 285/75/16's on, i think that should give a little more clearance than the pizza cutter junk 245's that are on it now.
Thanks

I have plenty of clearance on mine yeah you could throw 285's on there are a few guys running some 305 series tires on theres with no rubbing the bigger the tire the worse the mileage and the and the more wear and tear on the front end were you keep front end stock lower the rear 2'' to keep it level looking then add rear airbags problems solved and it would cost about the same minus the wheel alignment then u get rear air bags wich help smooth the ride and are great for towing trailers otherwise u lift the front end up 2''s now it is level with the back so put a trailer on it and u have a wheelie machine going then you get airbags on the rear instead of a block system:mad: i'm a young 24 year old guy that has always had lifted trucks and after all the problems and money they cost i have finally seen the light and built a truck that was very practical especially for if you are doing towing and if you are only driving the highway then why lift the vehicle up make it practical keep it stock but levelled and run rear airbags. just waiting for camera to boot up then the pics will be here

ok here are some pics of the truck lowered 2'' with a couple pics to show how much tire clearance there still is to go bigger tires also a pic of the rear airbag wich everyone hauling anything should have. also included is the way your cv angles should look without doing damage to them and other front end components!!!!!

So how did you fit the 20's with no lift? I thought you had to do something to fit that big, i was going to settle for 18's but maybe i'll step-up if i don't have to cut & chop the truck up.

Well it looks like I'm going to take the risk and have summitric do a front end leveling kit on my 2002 Dirtymax sometime this fall to fit the new tires I'm going to be putting on then.
Just need a bit more height to get them babies in there.
Fuel mileage is not that big of a deal for me so we will see how it works out.
I trust summitric's call on the ability for the leveling kit to work - if he's wrong i guess I'll be eating my words...lol...

you can fit 26's on these trucks with no issue it is the size of rubber that will get you into rubbing troubles you can put a 305 tire on that exact truck of mi9ne the way it sits with no lift works great and cheap easy to do!!
