Slightly off-topic but still in the same thinking. I want to wash equipment in the summer at my yard, only problem is I have no water supply. So my plan was to fill up 200 gallon totes, but would hooking up a garden hose out the bottom provide enough flow? Would a sump pump pumping into the pressure washer work? My concern isn't getting vehicles clean, it's for getting the salt and grime off of equipment and trailers.

I don’t have water in my shop, I use totes that I fill from house. 3/4” garden hose to pump no issues. I mounted my tote on a 3 foot tall stand washer rolls right under it. Works great no issues

We have the same setup at work, works great. Just ensure there are no restrictions in the hose from the tank to the pump.

Of course if a person put a sump pump or other pump inline to boost pressure it would be guaranteed to work.

Or belt drive pressure washer, typically they are the only ones the will work without pressure demand

Easy test is flow tote into 5 gal pail if it meets 150% of demand to your pump you are set. With the 3/4 garden hose I could flow 6 gpm easy.

Do not buy a princess auto "Easy Kleen".

They build these specially for princess auto and Richie brother auctions. They are junk.

Call easy kleen and ask.

They make a better one for a few $100 more with a much better pump, a heavier guage coil, better motor and warranty.
