I am heading up to the mountains for the first time in Feb. I will have the AST 1 Classroom and Feild course done before I go.
When quadding and flat land sledding, I am the McGyver and the Bandaid Magician in the group.
I have already put together some stuff for my trip, but I have too much stuff.
Have any other McGyver's ever posted a must 'have' list for moutain sledding?

more beer

on a more serious note, I bought a hand held chainsaw from MEC for $20 and it works a hell of a lot better than a folding saw. I ended up having to cut a tree down last time I was out and it was literally 3x faster. It is a lot smaller in your pack too !! great addition to anyone's "Safety" pack

Good product, but WRONG place to buy it!!

For once I agree with cycle. MEC is one of those companies that wants back country riding to be shut right down for sledders.

yeah yeah yeah

bunch of tree huggers .. so what!? it's still like a candy store. They sell nice ch!t and their return policy and service is second to none.
Go in there with any sledding clothing, whether it be a T-shirt or whatever, and THEN see how good the service is.

It's about the same as supporting your companies competition, and cutting off the hand that feeds you. They are fighting to close down where YOU snowmobile......Shop there if you want, but don't complain if the sierra club gets stuff shut down, because by supporting MEC your supporting the sierra club.

The best thing I have found for goggles and clean up from being wet or dirty are these super cloths that are made in Norway called Norwex. I have a couple peices in pockets. Wiping up moisture, there is nothing better and does not smear.
Thanks for your post.

You can never have to much! If you search it on here a few threads should pop up, there's been a couple of them.
I had searched for a couple different threads to find a list, but did not not know what slang or jargon to search for an emergency kit.
