Thanks Bob (I think that was your name) at countryside motorsports in Grande Prairie.

I called yesterday about snowchecking a pro rmk, and after talking with you I just saved myself thousands of dollars. Not by getting a super great deal, but by not going out of your way to talk me into a sled.

I can easily admit that I haven't looked at polaris's website to find out about the new sleds. As a buyer I shouldn't have to! It's your job to sell me the sled, not me sell it to myself! Your being too lazy to take 5 minutes out of your day to even remotely try to sell me a sled PO's me enough that it justifies the 35 minute drive to the next polaris dealership.

What really PO's me is that Countryside is under new ownership and I really want to see it come around to the dealership that it used to be where when you walked in you could shoot the sh$t with people knowledgeable about their sleds. Not just another typical Grande Prairie dealership that when you walk into them the only worry is if they're going to use lube as they screw you.

Bob, it's your job to make me want to ride your sleds and to buy from you. Start doing your job!

That pisses me off too.... the salesman acts like he doesnt have time to talk to you then seems to hold it against you if you buy from a different dealer or buy a different brand all together:eek:. I made the mistake buying my quad from the local popo dealer and now when I walk in to get parts and such they act pissed I walked in and they dont have time for me. Even though they are the only popo dealer in about a 100 mile radius it doesnt give them a reason to treat their customers like that. They wont have to worry about me when it comes time to trade I will probably be trading for a different brand.

Just goes to show that if YOU don't take care of your customer, some else will. I would have let management know what happened and that they lost out on a sale because of it.

They figure it out eventually......... when they see it on the trail and it has this or that done to it and they didnt get to sell the parts:eek:. The other thing that gets them is after I was treated that way for a little bit I would go in to get parts then when they told me what it cost I would tell them I could go to so and so or get "this" for "that" that really gets them but Im no different than any other warm blooded, air breathing, human with a spine.......I don't want to get screwed too bad on the stuff I buy! I dont owe it to them to buy there it will just be there lose if they dont get their chit "in line"

this is a conversation I had with a friend the other day.
we all do the chev is better then ford or dodge is better than....
arctic cat is better then poo and so on...
My point is there all junk. but if theres a good dealership with a good service department and good parts stock thats where I'll go. I drove 400kms to buy my new truck because they stand behind there product and give me excellent service. same goes with my sled and quad. Its all in the service provided to the customer before during and after the purchase of the product.

I drove 1100km for my new Cat, drove to T&T and he has been very good to me. Gave me his cell # so when I was in Valemount at Xmas he could bring me up anything I forgot to get when he was on his way to McBride.

I have ordered parts from him and he will mail them to me. I just need to get a spare key from him and Im good for the summer now :)

Hmmmm I'm the exact opposite a salesman has never ever sold me anything in my life he is just the guy that writes up the paperwork. I do my own research on the product I find my own price I want to pay. When I decide I will go to the dealership tell them what I want and price I will pay if it doesn't work for either I move on it is my decision not some salesman. And myself i would never call I will spent the 5 minutes and go to them... phone prices are never as good as face to face.....that is why dealers outside of town don't see my business and when there is a problem I expect my dealer to stand behind me.......and they will see me face to face NOT over the phone...things are taken way less seriously over the phone

....why is that I can never find a salesman who does not want to help me?
