Every third mow I fill it up with oil and gas

...every mow I fill with any oil [even used Detroit deisel oil and straight 50 weight] and check the gas.
Everything else gets regular oil changes.

I have a walk behind rototiller 5 or 6 hp Briggs the thing leaks and burns oil. A couple summers ago the wife says. I think the tiller fixed its self it does not smoke anymore. I asked if she checked the oil lately..... we went and pulled the dip stick bone dry. Filled it up with 85-140 gear oil. Still using it and It hardly smokes.

Bought a new Husqvarna riding mower 12 years ago, I try to remember and change the oil every couple years...but i think that its usually more every 3 years or so because I lose track.

keep up the good work everyone keeps me employed most people don't like maintaining their stuff and get me to do it 25.00 for parts will cost you 125.00 plus anything i find broken or worn out

LOL... My old man had one that sounded like an old 6.2L diesel when cold. Dealer finally got the engine swapped under extended warranty.

The old Tecumseh I have is buried under a ft of snow still and frozen to the ground - the ol tarp shed let go this winter - been picking up pieces of tarp shed all over the yard - she's on yr 4 this yr for the oil

Mine was missing the bag.

They want $165 for it - I don't need it - more of a want I guess - would be sick to burning race gas and 2 stroke oil all summer mowing the grass

Changed oil yesterday. 67 hours
