I have to buy a new laptop as mine is starting to go. Noticed glitches in the monitor a fair amount latley. Its 2.5 years old so due for updating. I run windows sharepoint/one drive for my business. And perfer PC for that. Im shopping online and so far am looking on the following,

- Memory Express
- Best Buy
- Costco

I use for business and not games, I was looking at the Lenovo at memory express, but want to see whats out there in this price range, and if it junk or not.

Lenovo
ThinkPad E595 w/ Ryzen™ 5 3500U, 8GB, 256GB M.2 PCIe SSD, 15.6in Full HD, 802.11ac + Bluetooth v4.2, Windows 10 Pro

We used to be Lenovo exclusively at work, but we've recently switched to Dell. I wouldn't rule them out Ron, if you find one you like let me know and I'll see if I can get you a better price on it through my employee deal.

I've been using a Lenovo at work for a few years and it's been great. It does a lot of travelling as well and still going strong. Solidstate HDD makes startup really quick. Our IT guy has switched to supplying HP's now though.

Tyler, which one are you thinking? I found another supplier as well, pc-canada.com

I just figured for your line of work you'd like a tablet style, that Lenovo at Memory Express will be a durable one for you, and should last.

I'm on a big Lenovo Thinkpad and it's done me very well, it's 4+ years old.

I'm not that "techy", but it would be nice to know what all these accronyms mean when a guy is shopping.... For the untrained person, it makes comparing extremely difficult.

After buying two laptops in the last couple years (one for me, one for my oldest boy to use at uni) I do know this...

Mine is a touch screen laptop\tablet converter.. for what I do, its not needed. Wish I would've known what an SSD was before my first purchase. The second time around I asked more questions from some trusted IT people at work, and after watching my kid use his laptop, I ended up replacing the drive in my own unit. The waiting for it to boot up was painful....

SSD is almost a must for a laptop, touch screen is great to have as well and a good battery...them more memory the better.

That one I posted above is for business and has 2 ports for monitors which is good. I will upgrade the memory right there, I don't need windows as my business subscribes to MS Office and has SharePoint, So I will see how that works.
