That azzhat needs some serious biotch-slappin. The sheer volume of sh@t flowing from that yapper would make Victoria's environmentally friendly effluent that they've been pumping into the Pacific for decades look like a clear glass of the purest drinking water.

He needs to be deleted. End of story.

Wow, all this time I thought it was Nothead that cut the firefighting budget, and the whole time it was Fort Mac that cut the budget...I'm sure he did all of his research before he posted

Yes I heard this first hand from my co worker, his brother in law is now staying with him and shared air Canada's generous gift to all that need a helping hand. Never fly with them again!
So unbalevible there are people taking advantage of such a sad time.
As for the disgusting comments posted on this thread at the victims of Fort Mac....one sure thing need to happen...ill get the rope!
No room for Your additude in this province or country for that matter, go back under your rock.

My heart goes out to all affected and cudos to all my fellow people for helping these poor victums out. What a great part of the world to live in when every one supports one another.!

Where was the flight from?

If it was Edmonton it must have been an error cuz I just checked and the flights were much less than even $1000 with air Canada next available.

That's what I thought. Next available when I checked on Expedia was $7xx so it must have been an error.

seen this on FB today about AC.

Even though I am a WestJet employee, I feel the public has been treating Air Canada unfairly in response to the so-called 'price-gouging' controversy. Air Canada's computer systems were still showing the price based on the fare-type- Tango being the cheapest, Flex and Latitude being a little more expensive (comparable to WestJet's Econo, Flex and Plus fares, respectively). Obviously in a last-minute situation, people bought up all the cheapest Tango fares first, thus showing that the only options available were the Flex and Latitude fares, being more expensive. Air Canada realized this computer-based error, and offered partial refunds to those guests who paid for Flex and Latitude fares (gave them the price of a Tango fare). Also, Air Canada has also been operating rescue flights out of Firebag and Albian airports alongside WestJet, Canadian North and North Cariboo Air, among others. Interestingly enough, I was told that Air Canada was also taking people holding WestJet boarding passes when WestJet canceled all inbound and outbound flights to Fort McMurray International Airport - YMM. I do not believe that Air Canada or any airline would purposely gouge customers in need during a disaster such as Fort McMurray's, because first off, that's a jerk thing to do, and secondly, is terrible publicity.
I know lots of people who work, or have worked, for Air Canada and are wonderful people. I've met tons of friendly flight attendants, pilots and gate agents as well for AC. Stop the public lynching of the company when you don't have all the facts.

Makes sense. Purposely gouging would be public suicide and a pr nightmare. Couldn't see AC doing that amidst a crisis.

Holy guys, it was a mistake by air Canada, get over it. Computer software found it to be almost full and jacked up the price. All airlines have the same program, air canada just didn't change it in time.
I have had good and bad experiences with both airlines. I wouldn't hesitate to fly with either.
