KTM and oil

So I've got to do my first oil change on my 250 xcf and the manual says use motorex oil. The thing is that this stuff is hard to find I've ordered some and it will not be in until September lol. So what do I do? What do you guys with KTM's use?

Ktm don't make oil I used motul in all my trail and race bikes used in my drag bikes as well I like it but oil is matter of opinion

Yes they do not make oil but KTM recommend using motorex. As its meant to be designed for KTM but its probably just a marketing thing thank you for your help.

Turple Bros in Red Deer has that Motorex oil in stock if you really want that brand.

I have always ran either the amsoil 10w40 or 20w50 motorcycle oil on my km 450 excr single sump

I have run Shell Rotella 15-40 in 3 of my KTM'S, started using it after reading many threads on KTM Talk. Many bikes with Rekluse clutches run them.

I use motul in my bike because it is easier to get ahold of. Any motorcyle synthetic will work. There is no quality parameter in different brands of oil that is better for your engine than regular oil changes.

I use amsoil, or shell 15-40 as posted above. Motula or whatever is a marketing thing as there a team sponser. Dont be to worried about what brand just change it often

I run Motul 300V in my 450SXF with very good results.

Mobil1 MX-4T Synthetic in my CRF450, KTM SX450F and my YZ450F, with no issues. At rebuild time, they all looked mint inside.
