Nothing wrong with E-Vent. Gore had been increasing prices over the years to the point it has become crazy expensive. Pretty much owned the market. Good to see some competition finally keeping it honest. E-Vent is gaining ground due to their more honest pricing. Gore may have to get competitive again.

I deal with Gore in my business and yes they have good products, but they are eeeexpeeensiiiive.

i love my burton ak gear. i ride with the coat and pants. i ride with a pair of burton boots too.... how can you beat all the time and $ they've spent over the years on R&D??

The Burton AK line is the bomb, big $, good looking cuts and so comfy, my BFF was the rep for 3 years and I have a nice collections of killer gear :d.
We are selling Scott at our shop and it's newer ski/board/sled stuff is killer...

Klim has obviously dominated the industry, but I hear MotorFist is on its way to be the next big thing. MotorFist has the eVent fabric which was used by the military and is supposed to beat the Klim fabric, Gore-tex, because it's more breathable. So it lets the steam/sweat out but still keeps you dry and warm at the same time. Its pretty interesting to watch the MotorFist video with the cup and the steam being released but then the water doesn't get through. Gore-tex is not supposed to be as breathable as the eVent. MotorFist is definitely giving Klim a run for their money. It is nice to have another brand to choose from though.

This is a nifty Klim vs MotorFist Comparison Chart: [/URL]

It's function and not fashion! I don't care if I look like everyone else as long as I'm dry and warm! Klim has a great warranty and is great gear. I ride easily 100 days a year, sometimes more, and my last pair of bibs were 5 years old and leaking; they replaced them no questions asked after the water test!

To me that is friggin' awesome......

For you guys that use that excuse of "look alikes" give it up and dig deep and get the best gear......KLIM

why dig deep?? i dont get that comment at all....

nearly 2 seasons on my motorfist gear, Krash as well. AWESOME STUFF.

way pay more for something that is just as good. know alot of dudes that have switched from klim gear and all are just as happy when they had their klim gear. toss a coin i say. both GREAT gear.

competition benefits us the consumer, look at klims new line...dropped prices and more diversity! win-win for us!

Well we sold Klim. And its good no doubt it's been out for along time and it has proven good quality reliable long-lasting, We starting selling the motofist n got away from the Klim as it is "the same" and everyone was selling it. Also was impressed with the event fabric store demo speaks volumes, the fact that they have bluebird warranty on their product says They believe in it themselves and stand behind it. Basically they have a no bs straight exchange for flawed, items , broken seams, zipper. Exchange at any motorist dealer hassle free, and yes it is a time limited warranty but it is also unmatched by any other manufacturer in the industry. Plus snow n mudders get 15% off at T & T Sports !

As I understand it motorfist is old design/technology Klim gear. The first generations gear they left behind. Klim is still the top of heap. IMO. Never had a dry bum till I bought Klim. 3 yrs my first pants lasted. I tried all other gear first cause I diddnt wanna look like everyone else. But I gave in

I'm on year 6 with my second pair of Klim pants, replaced my Valdez jacket with Motorfist 2 years ago. For old design technology the motorfist works pretty damn good. Coat cost less than half the Klim. Price is going up as more people are buying though

I really don't know where people are finding motorfist for at such a low price. The new rekon jacket was $480 at the sled show and the Valdez is $450 at my dealership. Everyone keeps claiming that Klim is way more expensive but from what I've personally seen they're both very close in price.

I got mine for $250 or so 2 years ago, prices have risen sharply since then.

Wow! That is quite the price hike! Because I do lots of business with my dealer I got 15% off on all my Klim gear. Saved $296. Can't complain.

????? you saved $296 with your 15% discount........you would have to spend almost $2000 to get a $296 discount with 15%.......

Friend of mine picked up the Moto fist gear last year( $$$$.$$ ). First ride the bibs fell apart, took them into Eco cycle no questions asked, traded straight across for a new pair. Second ride with the new bibs fell apart again. Exchange for another new pair. Plus they don't have a good latch system on the bottom of the bibs to keep the snow from getting up inside & down your boots. They have a good warrenty... but look at the time & money you have to spend taking them to get change out after every ride. Maybe the new gear this year will be albe to hold up to the KLIM.

I picked up my motorfist shell and gloves in sept and so far i have no complaints. only rode a couple times but the fit is nice, keeps me dry and durability seems to be there. I got mine for 40% off. browns liesure world in sask was advertising big discounts and a local dealer agreed to match them.

That's correct. $450 for Valdez jacket $450 for togwotee bibs $380 for beacon $110 for inferno midlayer jacket $110 for the girlfriends midlayer jacket $125 for fusion gloves and a few other things I can't think of right now. My bill was around $2000 before discount. After discount then tax it was $1760. Girlfriend bought around $1000 of gear at the same time and got the same discount.

Motor fist had a crazy sale on their first year stuff after the first season, im assuming they had alot of stock left because all sizes all colors were available, wish i would have jumped on the wagon, It was about half the price of the stuff now. Now its way more known and they have way more dealers.

I really like their stuff but its either black with red piping or black with grey piping. Everyone on the hill is going to look the same soon.

I like the polaris event jacket and pants too...they have a grey with snow camo jacket with the event fabric
