Next question...wool, wicking, everyday cotton or bare feet

regular ol cotton socks. Wool is too warm for me personally. And with the gortex in the boots my feet are nice and dry when i take them off after a long ride.

are the radiums the only ones with removable liners???

Yes they are. But with the inside of your boot not getting wet unless you step in a foot deep creek or better it's not and issue for drying purposes.
