Ok I just sold my beloved 86 trx250r so I could by a 4x4 me and the wife can enjoy so im getting a 2014 kq 750. Just curious if they need to be snorkeled. Most my stuff will be trails im not a big bogger makes the quad a pia to clean but it will be mudded at times probly tire high at times. Was thinking on the stealth kit and do my own thing with the front cvt intake id its needed. All opinions are welcomed. O ya it will be snow ridden and plowing with it I live in erie PA

I think most of us have canam, s these days . That said I ride with 2 kings.No need to add snorkels unless your over the seat.Could use some good shocks those king's ride rough like there's only 2" of travel. They are really reliable quads .

King quads are NOT nimble. As said...lumber wagon suspension and questionable front end geometry make them a hand full at any speed past 10 mph.

I was thinking works shocks on all 4 corners and the power steering version would help with that. Idk tho. The being nimble they feel better and smaller compares to other 4x4s kf the same class. Last 4x4 I rode was a 07 rancher the suspension cant be worse than that I dont think at least. Before that was my 250 recon with 250x shocks lol wanna talk about a stiffer ride o my. I guess it should be interesting then hopefully ll like it. I wanted thw new 2015 foreman but its to small for me and the wife together

I'd argue that a KQ is also too small to double up. You may want to consider a 2 up - I'm sure your wife would thank you for it.

I am having a hard time believing all the negative remarks about the King Quads.
I owned 4 King quads between 05 and 2012. I will admit they are not the most powerfull but compared to a similiar c.c. machine, the king quad will hold it`s own.
With the indepentent suspension, they are a very nimble and manuverable machine. They feel much smaller when riding than the Grizzly or the brute force.
Depending on what kind of riding you do, there are mods that make the King Quad a great machine.

X2. I owned a KQ 750 for 5 years and an outlander 1000XT for two months. Believe or not I preferred the KQ... Way lighter (150lbs), much more nimble, reliable, sometimes wish I still had it. The big downside was the shocks (easy fix) and the twitchy steering for non power steering ones ($150 fix).

Well just bought a left over 13. Plow winch and 26" tires Took one for a ride while there and I think all you guys are just use to newer quads than I am lol. Power is better than I thought it would be. I think it's very nimble for a big quad and turning radius is pretty tight in my opinion. Ride wise I think she's pretty smooth the front dose dive pretty good into turns tho but I'll just have to try adjusting shocks. Over all I think it will suit my needs just fine little pricey but what isn't

I have a 2014 kingquad 750, So far so good, similar power as the Grizzly, The big twins will have more jam, For the type of trail riding I do its great. I have not snorkeled it yet, but when it comes to mud I pick my spots. I love it, I think its great. never had an issue with suspension, Nibble enough for what I do. I ride with every kind of quad and side x side. Its a great all round quad. If you want a all out mudder get a mudcat or XMR. The price tag is great. One of the more reliable quads out there. The outtake breather for the belt at the rear of the quad is low for what ever reason. thats why people snorkel them. Its funny when you ask about a certain unit people will trash it even if they never owned one. They go by what they herd lol. I live in Can am Country. The power they put out is amazing. but more power big tires means more repairs lol. I like the idea of riding, washing it off and just doing regular maint. Big power + mud tires= broken parts. If I was a hard core mud guy i would be all over a can am. Can am's are great. but a if your after an all round trail quad with a reliable track record, then the king quad will work well for you.
