I have to agree with this. I have sold and bought from many members on the site, and never had a bad experience!

I've even had a member deliver tires right to my door and I had never met him before !!!!! Great guy !!! Lol

I get a kick out of "mint" and low milage. Looking at a 2002 700 renegade that is mint with only 772KM.
Oil delete, insulation off of pipe, different bars, cut and trimmed windshield and probes with a guage pack and crud in and around tight corneres of motor and airbox foam.
ome people need to be charged with false advertising or slapped silly or .........both. LMAO

Easy to be screwed on kijiji if you don't know what you are looking at/for!

I have bought and sold a few things on kijiji. Definately have to watch for the morons and scams. If you can weed them out though there are some legitimate peoplg out there

My son had some rims for sale and got one of those "need your pay pal account because I am not available to come look" deals. Glad he told me. He thought he was missing out on some cash when I told him to stay away from those deals. A week later a " real" person came and gave him "real" cash!
Good deals and bad deals whether it be kijiji or dealerships or retail.

Had a couple of those too; "hi, I'm interested in your "insert word for word title here". Is it still for sale? Please text (some cell #), as I don't have access to email.

And they send it from an email address ?

Slow clap for you scammers.

Bought my current sled that way too. Said S&M member who I had never met either , drove from GP to Fort Nelson to do a half way meet with me and didn't even want a deposit! I can't imagine I'll have a kijiji experience like that again though.

I did the " You still have it for sale thing" yesterday. Add had been on for almost a month so I thought I'd check. Guy still had it, make arrangements to go look at it later that night and got a text just before I was heading out the door that he was changing his mind and keeping the quad. WTF??

How about when they give you an address to go look at a car that turns out to be a campground? (in the middle of winter) same guy was no show "sorry man, got tied up with work" same guy "are you bringing the cash" before we even look at the car.

lots of really good experiences with Kijjii too, I don't give out home address. You can get a good (or bad) feel about someone after you talk to them a couple of times. I have a rule, any used parts that I am selling are at least 1/2 of what they are new. The hardest is when you are dealing with someone from out of town - kind of see who blinks first, do you ship it and then wait for the payment or do you insist they pay first, i hate making those deals.

I thought I would revive this old thread rather than start a new one.
Been looking for a few quad's for quite awhile now, with not much luck.
Buyer's rant about dumb seller's, Seller's rant about dumb buyer's.
I'm in the first category, lol. Several unit's I have emailed and asked SPECIFIC questions about get ignored
or answered with one or 2 word's. WTF..............
Example #1
Q : you say the engine was rebuilt a few month's ago, what all was done to it?
A : rebuilt.
Q : what SPECIFICALLY was done?piston, rings, crank, crank seal's, wrist pin bearing?
A : Ring's were changed,Thus my reply, "rebuilt"

OMG you tard..................... ring's doesn't mean rebuilt engine...........................

Example #2
Q : Your add say's the unit has 2000 km's on it and it has a rebuilt engine. What failed that the
engine needed work at 2000 km's? Just to be clear, does the odometer have 2000 km's or does
the engine have 2000 km's since rebuild?
A : Quad has 2000 km's and yes engine rebuilt.
Q : How many km's since the engine was rebuilt.
A : 2000 km's
Q : So, you rebuilt the engine on a quad with zero Km's?
A : Odometer say's 14,000 but that's not correct cause the engine was rebuilt 2000 kms
ago, so the first 12,000 don't count anymore.

My example #2 wasn't exactly the way the conversation went, but you get the pic.
The guy would always dance around the question"how many km's on the quad"
I knew he was either stupid or not answering on purpose.Turn's out he wasn't answering cause
he was a" D" bag.
If someone is selling a machine and they aren't mechanically inclined and don't know much, that's fine.
I'll just ask them to tell me what they can, cause me driving 3 or 4 hour's isn't what I want to do unless
the unit is worth looking at.
But, I hate hate hate scammer's -guy's that hide stuff that they know is broke or wore out and they hope
you don't know enough to find it before you take it home.
RANT OVER........................LOL
