Agreed. Didn't even need more snow. If the sledder had been face down instead of face up, his arm might not have been as readily exposed and although only buried inches deep, the outcome could have been different in another scenario without avy gear. The only thing that might help him in a scenario without avy gear is that the area was very small and he was near the bottom, they would probably feel him if they stepped on him. He's lucky, and yes, it happens just that quick. There are safe areas for sure, but just a reminder that you never know what can happen in a day. Better to be safe than sorry.
