Pulled apart my old clutch today.
Bolts were definitely flexing in the towers and making contact....

Must be clearing out old stock yet. //uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191215/c9927fe53311b5aeb038e9eeb60c86b8.jpg
0746-885, isn't that the part number?I notice no serial number in the cover. That’s odd cuz the last year or so there have been serial nums in the cover and stickers that say the part num and date.
If the customers are confused, it’s actually the company that is confused.
You were in McBride at the time, so I am not sure if you saw this.Good find. The bolts sure do show what’s going on.

Cat care hasn't responded yet....
So dealer ordered in a new clutch for me and said someone will pay for it, still haven't figured out if that means me lol.
Mine was the one with the cracked tabs.//uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191209/7cdc94d3e7d2e1e60b7189cd9ade45e7.jpg
Did you notice any vibration increase?
Seen these pics of a secondary on the land of faces the other night? Quite strange

Shimmed wrong from factory? The KBI clutch investigation division has determined the following cause.
The secondary clutch bolt has backed out due to engine harmonics. The bolt vibrated itself loose but not enough for the bolt to fall out. Just enough to let the sheaves spread apart and not quite enough for the sheaves to fully squeeze the belt.
The clutch is now partially open and loose and the belt dropped down close to the bottom of sheaves. The belt slipped like a mofo in the secondary and wore a few holes in the sheaves. Dude prolly rode it a while hoping it might fix itself. We all do that sometimes. No biggie.
Notice the washer under the bolt may not be stock. It’s a looks a little too big as you can see it’s not quite centered under the bolt head. If the bolt was taken out, it might show if the stock washer damaged the sheave.
The Team Boss secondary clutch design is not good. When and if the bolt comes loose, the outside sheave can come right tf off and now there’s a 8000 rpm disc of death bouncing around in the clutch area. This can be veddy skeddy.
KBI investigation is now concluded. No guarantee of accuracy or correctology.//uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191219/fb4943d126f0167caef2a5151e67ec83.jpg
I am thinking the 0725-978 is the latest and greatest and was changed after the parts books were made. If that is not the case it does not make any sense or we don't have all the facts yet.Cross reference guide that I posted before:
2020 part number is CAT part #0746-895
2018 and 2019 is CAT part #0746-885
The part numbers we have on our clutch covers are a very old arctic cat part number 0725 series was from the 90’s the part numbers we have on our clutch covers make absolutely no sense at all? WHY do we not have the Cat part numbers stamped on our clutches? When you enter in the 0725 part number that most clutches have stamped on then nothing comes up?
CLUTCH,DR.UNCAL-TEAM-HDI33MM (423460) is the team cross reference part number for the newest 2020 clutch CAT part number 0746-895
CLUTCH,DRIVE-UNCAL-HDI33MM (423215)
Is the team cross reference part number for the 18-19 CAT part number of 0746-885 (which replaces/supersedes part number 0746-876)
CLUTCH,DRIVE-UNCAL-TEAM-HDI33MM (423031) is the team cross reference part number for 0746-876 (this part number is more then likely the original part number that got recalled)
